Founder of Big Baller Brand and former footballer/basketballer LaVar Ball is going through a rough patch in his life. First, his wife Tina suffered a stroke back in 2017 which led her to develop aphasia, a condition that limits verbal communication for stroke victims. He has made quite a few outlandish comments about his sons – Lonzo, LiAngelo, and LaMelo – all of whom are soaring high in their respective basketball careers.

Coming to the present, LaVar Ball recently had to go through a medical procedure himself which left him with no choice but to have one of his feet amputated. However, it looks like not even this can wipe the smile off his face.
After his wife’s speech loss, LaVar Ball gets his foot amputated

TMZ has reported that LaVar Ball went through a medical procedure after suffering a serious issue which has not been disclosed yet. During the procedure, Ball had to get his right foot amputated.
Losing a part of your body is no joke and it can leave people struggling and depressed for months to come. However, one look at the Ball family’s patriarch will have you convinced that he is the epitome of optimism.
In the image shown by TMZ, Ball can be seen sitting in a wheelchair, a part of his leg missing and wrapped up in bandages. Despite the grim nature of the situation, there is a smile present on his face as he poses for the camera.

This comes years after his wife, Tina, had a stroke which left her struggling with aphasia. Fortunately, she was able to defy all odds and regain her ability to walk after the medical incident.
Ball helped his wife through recovery and advised his three sons to not put their careers on hold for this setback in their lives. He stated (via ESPN), “I just deal with it. Whatever it is. Things are gonna happen in life. Either you are gonna help do something about it or you just gonna let it happen and destroy you.“
He added, “Like I told my boys: ‘I got her. Now you can do whatever you want to do. What I’m not going to [do] is burden you with sitting there rubbing her hand. … We’re not making a movie.’”
Ball had made it clear to his kids that Tina’s his wife and he would be the one taking care of her. As of today, while her speech is still limited, she has learned to visualize the words she wants to say. Here’s to the big strides she is making in her recovery!
