AlthoughCobra Kaihas officially ended its six-season run, co-creator Hayden Schlossberg explains why Mr. Miyagi’s (Pat Morita) backstory was left unanswered. Early in season 6, Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) learned that his former sensei previously competed in the world karate tournament and had possibly killed his opponent. He was bothered by this reveal throughout the final season, even going as far as finding answers to no avail. While Daniel eventually finds peace with this by the end of Cobra Kai season 6, Mr. Miyagi’s Sekai Taikai backstory remains unresolved.
