Westwood trap team earned 1st place in our conference of several schools in California. Jace Vaca took 3rd place in the conference for highest season average. Ryan Nelson took 1st place in the conference for highest season average. Our team is growing with students and coaches making this a fun and exciting adventure. Every team member did exceptionally well and the numbers were very close for team scores and conference scores. As head coach I’d like recognize Kody Vaca, Jace Vaca, Ryan Nelson, Bryson Hart, Reece Gibbs, Nolan Day, Zane Wyrick, Brian Ojeda. Their hard work and dedication to this official school sport has made the team an exceptional contender to much larger schools. Outscoring some of these superb athletes in other schools is a healthy, competitive accomplishment. After doing an outstanding job last spring at the competition in Redding, securing our spot on the leaderboard, little Westwood has earned a spot on the national map! I’m proud of each and every one of these young men. Thank you so much to the Vaca family for dedicating so much time and energy with us this last year. Let’s do it again.
