We Almost Missed This Adorable Nod to Prince Archie & Prince Harry in Meghan Markle’s Rebrand

ICYMI: Meghan Markle’s lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, has gotten a total overhaul. Earlier this week, the Duchess of Sussex announced that the brand would be called “As ever.” It’s a phrase that will give her more flexibility with the products she offers, it’s a phrase that she uses in nearly all her social media posts, and it’s a phrase with a more obvious meaning (“as it’s always been” or “in the same way as always”).

When Markle announced the rebrand, we were so excited to see a rare picture of Princess Lilibet on the landing page, that we almost missed the subtle (andy adorable!) way Markle honored her 5-year-old son Prince Archie and her husband Prince Harry with the new logo.

The design has come under fire for its similarities to the Mallorca coat of arms, but controversy aside, it has some poignant undertones. The black-and-white logo shows two hummingbirds and a palm tree, and devout fans remembered how that connects to Harry & Meghan. In the 2021 docuseries, the couple had a sweet moment watching hummingbirds at their Montecito home.

“We won’t get a chance to be this close to hummingbirds ever again,” Prince Harry told his son, per The Tatler, “because they’re scared of humans.”

“Papa is a birdwatcher, so this is a really big moment for him,” Markle added.

Palm trees are also meaningful for the family. In 2022, Markle told The Cut that one of the first thing Prince Harry saw when they toured their home was two palm trees connected at the bottom, per Page Six.

“My love, it’s us,” Prince Harry said.

“Now every day when Archie goes by [the trees], he says, ‘Hi Momma. Hi, Papa,” she told the publication.

And no, we’re not crying, you’re crying! That logo tugs on all the heartstrings by having such sweet nods to the men in her life. That, in combination with the picturesque photo of Markle and her 3-year-old daughter (that includes the palm trees!), shows that Markle is really keeping her kiddos in mind with this rebrand.

It seems the mom of two always has her children at the forefront. Earlier this month, she shared a sweet video about collecting Billie Eilish merch for a teen who tragically lost her home and her beloved Eilish T-shirt in the Los Angeles wildfires.

In the endearing clip, Markle wore a custom sweatshirt with her kids’ names embroidered on the collar. The personalized piece proves the two are always close to her heart. Literally.
