MARRIED At First Sight star Lacey breaks down in tears over claims her romance with Nathan was a “fake showmance”.
The Sun revealed in November that the pair had secretly split after filming for the E4 series ended.

The former couple are set to have an showdown as they address their issues for the first time since their break-up.
In scenes that will air on the reunion episode next week, Lacey was left with tears streaming down her face as she admitted “they both added to the split”.
But Nathan claimed she was the reason for the breakdown of their ‘marriage, saying she had “changed” as a person after the show.
Before the conversation, Lacey told the camera: “Me and Nathan still need to talk, it is a bit of a shock to think that I wasn’t genuine.
“He’d never voiced that to me, so I need some answers.”
Sitting down to speak to one another, Nathan said: “So Lace, I didn’t come here for a showmance,” leaving Lacey shocked.
She replied: “Neither did I,” as Nathan explained: “That’s not how I felt. The impression that I got after the experiment…”
Lacey interjected: “The impression?! You blocked me.”
Nathan said: “Why did I block you? As soon as you finished the experiment, you turned into a completely different person.”
Clearly distressed, Lacey replied: “I did everything in my power to embrace you Nath.”
Lacey then asked him to lower his tone as she continued: “This is not the Nathan that I went out with.”
A gobsmacked Nathan replied: “Excuse me? I’ve got a text message on my phone right now.”
He then whipped out his phone and read one of her text messages to him, saying: “You didn’t say to me then ‘I think we should fake it’.”
Lacey’s jaw dropped as she begged him to stop “doing tit for tat”.
Nathan continued: “I was so sad when I heard that,” as Lacey interjected: “I thought you loved me.”
They clashed further when Lacey insisted she had “been there for him” after the show when he was “struggling” – which he denied.
She sobbed: “There’s no point saying ‘you did this, you did that’, we did fall in love with each other.
“We both added to the break-up potentially, do you not admit that?”
But Nathan flat out responded: “No! Can I just say, do you know how hard it was for me to open myself up to you.”
Lacey repeated that she was “there for him every step of the way”.
She went on to say: “I held your hand and I was so proud of you because you were worth it.
“Do you not remember that I was there for you.
“You can look at me in the eyes and say I wasn’t there for you?!
“You don’t think I was there for you the whole journey.
“You can look at me in the eyes and say I wasn’t there for you?! You don’t think I was there for you the whole journey.
“Bigging you up, supporting you because you struggled.”
Nathan fired back: “I didn’t struggle.”
Lacey insisted: “I don’t want to argue with you,” but a frustrated Nathan replied: “Can I just speak for a chance, can I just speak once.”
Lacey added: “Everything you’re saying is not true.”
The duo have delighted E4 fans with their blossoming romance – seeing the pair finally declare I Love You during last week’s final dates episode.
But just a few months later their relationship was over.

Shortly after their break-up was revealed, Lacey spoke to The Sun and told us that she feared Nathan was “faking” the romance the whole time, just for the cameras.
However, now Nathan has broken his silence on the break-up and revealed that he is in fact the one who has been left “brokenhearted”.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, he said: “Things weren’t the same off the show, it was very different.
“I’d always have to go there, she wouldn’t come to see me – those kind of arguments. I’m not too sure, things were quite different after the show.
“When you’re together, you’re 100 per cent in the same place.
“But after the experiment there was a big distance there.”
Asked who’s idea it was to break-up, Nathan said: “She decided, she said let’s just be friends.”
Speaking about how he was feeling post break-up, Nathan said: “I’m scared to date again, I want to but my hearts still broken.
“I definitely do want to date again but there’s no one yet.”
Lacey also spoke to The Sun last night and she told us: “I left him [Nathan] in 2024, to me this is a new slate. I am single.
“He’s not worth it. I’m just doing my thing, I believe in the universe, if I’m meant to meet someone then I will.”
