The Gambling.com team have created a market on where it is most likely to snow this Christmas.

They believe there is a better chance of 2024 delivering a White Christmas compared to last year.

And it’s Aberdeen leads the betting as bookies reckon there is a 44.4 per cent chance that it will snow on the north east.

The latest Christmas Day snow odds for the city sit at 5/4.

There is also a chance of the white stuff in Glasgow on the big day, with odds sitting at 6/4.

Edinburgh sits close behind on 7/4, but is less likely to see a White Christmas than the other two cities.

The market doesn’t focus on whether it snows at all but whether it snows at a city’s airport.

It comes as multiple schools were closed this morning and commuters faced widespread travel disruption with heavy snowfall and ice affecting parts of the UK.

And more heavy snow showers are set to batter Scotland this weekend as a danger to life warning has been issued.

A yellow rain and snow warning is set to cover most of the country.

Heavy snow on Saturday, followed by a rapid thaw and subsequent rain on Saturday night may cause some disruption.

Scotland has already recorded its coldest early winter temperatures since 1998.

The mercury plummeted below -10C in some parts of the country at the beginning of this week, -11.2C was recorded in Braemar, Aberdeenshire.
