GARDAI have issued a fresh update after nine people were discovered in a shipping container at Rosslare Europort on Monday.
Gardai are continuing to investigate all circumstances surrounding the discovery.
They said: “Six adult males have been refused leave to land in accordance with immigration legislation.
“One adult male has claimed international protection and will now be processed by the International Protection Office.
“Two males are believed to be minors and are now in the care of Tusla.”
Gardai attached to the Wexford Garda Station are being supported by the Garda National Immigration Bureau.

An investigation has been launched following the incident in Wexford.
Nine people were discovered in a shipping container at Rosslare Europort yesterday morning at approximately 10.30am.
Gardai were alerted to the scene following reports of a number of people inside the container.
Emergency services rushed to the scene where they located nine men who were then assessed by medical personal.
Eight of the men were deemed to be in good health.
One man was brought to hospital where he is receiving further assessment.
His condition is believed to be non-life threatening.
The men, who are not believed to be seriously injured, have since been transferred to Wexford General Hospital to be medically assessed.
The men, understood to be originally from eastern Africa, are believed to have been in the container for up to four days.
Cops believe the men gained access to the container in France on Thursday and spent four days inside prior to being discovered.
