Dwayne Johnson a.k.a The Rock and Paul Levesque a.k.a Triple H were in a long-standing feud in the late ‘90s and the early 2000s in the WWE ring. The two emerging superstars at the time were put on opposing ends, with The Rock given a lot of promotion from WWE during his initial days, despite not being loved as much by fans.
The on-ring rivalry died down as the two moved to more management positions (and The Rock moved to Hollywood). However, Johnson came back to WWE last year as not just a player but also a board member of TKO Group Holdings, the company that handles the WWE. According to sources, Triple H and The Rock’s rivalry is still ongoing off the stage.
The Rock and Triple H are still feuding off the ring

Triple H a.k.a Paul Levesque has taken over the WWE since the retirement of Vince McMahon as the Chief Content Officer. The legendary wrestler was recently inducted into the Hall of Fame and got through the first big event of the year, the Royal Rumble. Last year, Levesque handled WrestleMania 40, which saw The Rock return to the ring.
Dwayne Johnson a.k.a The Rock has not just returned as a fighter but has also been nominated as a board member of TKO Group Holdings, the company in charge of the WWE. While the two seemed to have put to rest their long-standing rivalry after moving to greener pastures, sources claimed that they cannot stand each other off-screen.

Talking on the Sportskeeda Wrestler’s Binge: Backstage Pass’s The Coach and Bro podcast, host Vince Russo mentioned that all the camaraderie between the two WWE superstars was for the cameras. He said,
I don’t care what you watch on TV; I don’t care what you see backstage; I don’t care about, ‘Hey bro, how you doing?’ ‘Yeah, I’m good!’ Triple H and The Rock do not like each other at all.
Russo reportedly implied that Triple H does not have any power over The Rock as he does with other stars as he is the Chief Content Officer and this has led to some clashes between the two. The Rock reportedly plans his own appearances and he does so whenever he pleases.
Triple H expressed regret over one thing during his rivalry with The Rock

Triple H and The Rock’s history goes way beyond their current management roles or on-ring feud. Dwayne Johnson’s professional WWE debut occurred with a Survivor Series four-on-four match, in which he defeated Triple H. Many of Triple H’s co-wrestlers mentioned that he was jealous of The Rock for getting promotions from the folks at WWE (via NY Post).
This reportedly became the foundation for their on-stage rivalry, which became extremely heated over the years. However, Triple H expressed regret over one aspect of the rivalry which could have been a great climactic end to it. The former wrestler mentioned that the two were supposed to have a one-on-one match at WrestleMania 2000 (via ITR Wrestling),
My only regret of the whole thing with Rock is in 2000 we were poised to have a match at WrestleMania one-on-one, and I think that would have been an epic thing for both of us in that moment. The timing of ‘Taker’s return, and Austin’s return, and Austin wasn’t quite ready yet, so they pushed the WrestleMania match.
Instead, the main event had a Fatal-Four-Way match between The Rock, Triple H, Mick Foley, and the Big Show. The dramatic main event saw Triple H pinning Johnson after the latter was betrayed by Vince McMahon and even saw The Rock being badly injured.
