Leighton Meester is gearing up for a secretive new role in The Buccaneers season 2. The series, based on Edith Wharton’s unfinished novel, follows young American women sent to secure husbands and titles, only to clash with high society in 1870s London. The Buccaneers cast features Kristine Froseth, Alisha Boe, Matthew Broome, and Josh Dylan. Meester, known for her roles in Gossip Girl and, more recently, How I Met Your Father, joins the historical drama with a role that’s been kept under wraps.
