Beckie explained that she’s tried a variety of different laundry hacks, most of which have been entirely unsuccessful.

Until she came across this one.

She took to TikTok to rave about the product, which costs just £3.45 a pop on Amazon, as she demonstrated how to use it.

“Welcome laundry bib!” Beckie said, as she put it over her head.

She then showed herself putting a whole load of washing into the bib, and said going upstairs wearing it was “great” as it meant she had her hands free.

Then it came to hanging her washing out.

“I am loving having this in front of me,” Beckie said, as she took each piece of washing out of the pocket at the front and placed it on the airer.

“It is so easy to use – it’s just there! No bending down.”

She concluded her video by declaring: “It’s a keeper!”

“Would you use it? I love to try laundry gadgets out,” Beckie captioned the video.

“Some fail but this one is actually a keeper!”

People were quick to comment on the video, with many admitting they were already racing to Amazon to purchase one.

“That’s amazing!” one gushed.

“This is genius,” another added.

To which Beckie replied: “It really is!

“Can’t wait to hand the washing on the line outside. Going to be so much easier.”

More winter laundry tips

Tackling laundry in the winter can be a challenge, but these handy tips can help you stay on top of it:

  • Use a Dehumidifier: Place a dehumidifier in your drying area to speed up the drying process and prevent dampness.
  • Spin Cycle Boost: Run an extra spin cycle on your washing machine to remove excess water from clothes, reducing drying time.
  • Indoor Drying Rack: Invest in a good-quality indoor drying rack and position it near a radiator or in a well-ventilated room.
  • Tumble Dryer Balls: Add tumble dryer balls to your dryer to help clothes dry faster and reduce static cling.
  • Space-Saving Hangers: Use space-saving hangers or a retractable washing line to maximise indoor drying space.
  • Microfibre Towels: Lay microfibre towels over your drying rack to absorb extra moisture from hanging clothes.
  • Partially Dry Outside: On dry days, hang clothes outside for a short period before bringing them in to finish drying.

These hacks can help you keep your laundry routine efficient and your clothes fresh, even during the colder months.

“That’s such a clever idea, I want one,” a third commented.

“That’s the wife’s birthday present sorted,” someone else joked.

“I need this in my life!” another wrote.

“Ohhhh as a wheelchair user this could be a game changer!” someone else said.

“I can’t carry a washing basket & it’s hard to carry a pile by hand & wheel!!!!!”

“I feel like this is a modern day harvest apron that my nana used to wear,” another mused.

“Everyday apron tied on, drawstring done up tight, to collect EVERYTHING !!!!!”
