While viewers experience events in Max’s new medical drama over 14 weeks, everything happens in less than a day. The Pitt “is a realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers in today’s America as seen through the lens of the frontline heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Each episode follows an hour of Dr. Robby’s (Noah Wyle) 15-hour shift as the chief attendant in Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital’s emergency room,” reads the official logline. The first season takes place over 15 hours, but that might not be true for Season 2. Series creator Scott Gemmill told Parade that Season 2 will feature a time jump to address some storylines adequately.
