A STUDENT was found dead at a Scottish university campus this morning.
Emergency crews raced to Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen following the tragic discovery.
The alarm was raised just after 10.15am on Garthdee Road in the city.
Police confirmed that a 19-year-old woman had died at the scene, the Press and Journal reports.
Her death is being treated as “unexplained” by cops, and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
And the university confirmed that she was a student.
A spokesperson added: “RGU can sadly confirm that the body of a student was found on its campus this morning.
“The university is liaising with the emergency services and is supporting the student’s family as well as the entire university community.
“This is a very sad situation and our thoughts are with the student’s family and friends.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Garthdee Road, Aberdeen around 10.15am on Wednesday, November 20 following the sudden death of a 19-year-old woman.
“Next of kin have been made aware.
“Her death is being treated as unexplained and inquiries are ongoing.”
