A bond that stood the test of time! After costarring together as kids in the 2003 film School of Rock, Caitlin Hale and Angelo Massagli got married on January 4.
Caitlin, 33, shared photos from her wedding along with the caption, “Special thank you to everyone who contributed to an unforgettable day!” in a Wednesday, January 8, Instagram post.
The former child star wore a strapless white satin gown with a thigh-high slit by Berta Los Angeles. She added glittery high heel boots by the same brand, along with a long white veil. Angelo, 32, donned a dapper black suit.
The wedding and reception went down at the Park Château Estate & Gardens in East Brunswick, New Jersey. The couple was surrounded by plenty of School of Rock castmates, as guests included Rivkah Reyes, Brian Falduto, Joey Gaydos Jr., Robert Tsai, Maryam Hassan, Aleisha Allen and Cole Hawkins.
Aleisha, 33, shared an Instagram video from the reception, showing Caitlin and Angelo sharing various dances at their reception while also revealing the gorgeous red one-shouldered velvet gown she wore to the event.
The actress, who played Alicia in School of Rock, included video of her fellow costars gathered with the bride and groom as they posed for photos, having a cast reunion 22 years after the film was released.
“When you begin your new year with your brothers & sisters from other mommas & misters (missing a few) like time has never passed (with all heartbeats synced to the rhythm of Kev’s drums), to celebrate an amazing love that blossomed from our 20+ year old bond! (and ending the night, barefoot, eating snacks in a fancy gown ),” Aleisha wrote in the caption. “Solid start, I’d say lol. Congrats Caitlin and Angelo! Family 4evaa. Happy New Year, everyone!”
Rivkah, 32, gushed in the comments of Caitlin’s post, “Every detail that went into this wedding was so well thought out. What an honor to witness & share this day with you two. LOVE YOUUUU.”
She shared a set of black and white photos from the wedding to her Instagram page, including photos with her castmates, writing in the caption, “Best wedding ever. Congrats C&A. Soooo grateful to be a part of this family.”
Rivkah, who played Katie the bass player for the band formed in the movie, also posted a TikTok video with fun antics from the wedding reception as well as the elegant dining set up.
Both Aleisha and Rivkah paid tribute to their iconic film by setting their videos to Stevie Nicks’ “Edge of Seventeen,” which Joan Cusack‘s Principal Mullins performed in the movie.
School of Rock starred Jack Black as Dewey Finn, who after getting booted from his bar band takes a job as a substitute teacher at an uptight private school. He channels his love of rock by turning his students into a band.
The young actors stayed in touch after the film via a group chat. Caitlin and Angelo began dating in 2016, after she moved to Florida, closer to where he lived.
The couple are no longer in showbiz. Caitlyn works as an OB-GYN ultrasound technologist. Angelo is the Music Product Counsel for TikTok in New York City, after graduation from the University of Miami School of Law in 2019.
