Great minds think alike! Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb had an impromptu reunion when they ran into each other while both ladies were vacationing in Palm Beach, Florida.
Savannah, 53, shared an Instagram photo with fans on Wednesday, February 19, showing the two smiling while on opposite sides of an outdoor dining table. Hoda’s close pals, jewelry designer Jennifer Miller and her husband, Mark Ehret, were seated in between them.
The Arizona native dressed for her surroundings in a pink cardigan over her shoulders with matching pink-framed sunglasses. Savannah’s husband, Michael Feldman, was seen behind her along with the couple’s 10-year-old daughter, Vale.
Hoda, 60, wore a white sweater and several gold necklaces with her sunglasses atop her head.
“Oh, and a bonus @hodakotb sighting for a little extra (sunshine emoji),” Savannah captioned the photo.
She also reshared Today‘s post about the reunion that explained in the caption, “The two friends were both vacationing with their families in Palm Beach, Florida, when they ran into each other.”
Fans gushed over seeing Savannah and Hoda together again in the comments. “When I saw you both on a vacation very close, I knew this would be a fun get together!!! Enjoy!!!!!” one person wrote, while another added, “Love your friendship!”
Both women had been sharing photos from their respective vacations before running into each other.
Savannah posted pictures of her family’s getaway from chilly New York City with Michael, 56, Vale and son Charley, 8, on Tuesday, February 18.
“Turns out all they needed was more sunshine, more pink, more bingo, more pink, more warmth, more pink drinks, more time more together,” she wrote in the caption along with photos of her kids enjoying the pool at The Colony Hotel as well as the nearby beach. The family also took bike rides along the oceanfront and enjoyed meals out.
That same day, Hoda shared a photo of her adopted daughters, 8-year-old Haley and 5-year-old Hope, at a restaurant along with Jennifer and Mark. “Nothing like family,” the I’ve Loved You Since Forever author wrote in the caption.
Hoda also shared a series of snapshots of herself and the girls enjoying a day of fishing. “Wait … whaaaattt— each of my girls caught a fish today!! Wow threw ’em back— but what a thrill!” the proud mom noted in the caption.
The Oklahoma native stepped down from cohosting Today on January 10 after spending 17 years with NBC’s morning show. Hoda spent the last eight of those years cohosting alongside Savannah, in addition to the show’s fourth hour with Jenna Bush Hager. She cited wanting to spend more time with her young daughters as a primary reason for her decision to depart from her high-profile job.
“It’s funny. When I was mentioning here that I was going to leave the Today show, one of our producers came upstairs in the makeup room, and she said, ‘I want to say something to you.’ She goes, ‘My mother walking me to school every day was the best memory I’ve ever had,’” Hoda recalled on a December 2024 episode of her “Making Space” podcast.
She added, “And all I want to do is walk my kids to school. And it’s the simplest thing, with a cup of coffee, walking your kids to school. But all the little things, you get to see growth.”
