RTE Fair City viewers have all come to the conclusion that Georgia is not Laura Halpin’s murderer after tonight’s episode.
Laura Halpin was brutally murdered on the show last year in a shock plotline, however her body was only discovered recently when Tommy Dillon was working on the community garden.
Over the past few months, Georgie has been a major suspect in Laura’s murder case after he was spotted at the crime scene.
But eagle-eyed viewers have spotted one moment from tonight’s show that would ensure he is not guilty.
Tonight, encouraged by Pete, Doug laid the groundwork for his proposal to Erica and arranged dinner at a nice restaurant.
Doug decided he would only tell Georgie and Pete about his exciting plans.
However, it wasn’t long before Georgie blabbed to Sharon about Doug’s plans and shared his doubts about the ring choice.
And RTE viewers were all quick to react to Georgie’s gossiping as they took to X.
Sinead wrote: “It’s now apparent that Georgie didn’t kill Laura, he’d have told everyone by now.”
Pamela said: “Blabber mouth Georgie could never keep Laura’s murder in.”
While Fiona joked: “Jesus, never tell Georgie anything.”
And Tom remarked: “Georgie loves a gossip.”
Elsewhere on the episode, Sharon and Georgie convinced a bemused Erica to let them glam her up for her night out.
When Sharon suggested the business course to Georgie, he advocated for Erica to take his place instead.
Erica unwittingly dashed Doug’s proposal plans when she attended the first business class instead of going to dinner.
Later on, Erica found the engagement ring and, in a panic, pocketed it.
CO-OP CASE
Meanwhile, Cass and Hughie gave new hope to a downcast Renee when they suggested making the community shop a co-op.
Renee then managed to win Tommy over with the co-op idea.
Nevertheless, Jacinta’s quizzing about the co-op was derailed by the return of Renee’s granddaughter, Ellie.
Renee accepted Ellie’s word that there was nothing wrong and that she just wanted to visit.
FASHION SHOW FAIL
Back at McCoy’s, Renee disregarded Hughie’s questions about Ellie’s sudden arrival.
And while all that was happening, Orla assured Kira that she was fully committed to the fashion auction.
Orla suggested they use the donors to model the clothes, but Kira and Mondo were uncertain.
Out of options, Kira was forced to go for Orla’s model idea.
Emma was thrilled at Kira’s suggestion to recruit her friends as models.
Meanwhile, Dean and Mairead decided to risk a night out together.
Mairead tried to cover her excitement by fibbing to Tommy that she was happy about Damien.
However, when Dean was forced to cancel their date last minute, a disappointed Mairead realised how hard she had fallen for him.
