Reacher season 3 is a blend of new and old faces, although much more the former than the latter. Lee Chilld’s Jack Reacher books, on which the Amazon show is based, are written as standalone adventures that just so happen to be set within the same continuity. They’re intended to be read in any order, so each installment often has a flood of fresh introductions. Amazon’s adaptation doesn’t follow quite the same formula as the source material, but it certainly comes very close in terms of the attrition rate of its characters and the semi-anthological storylines.
