Rangers vs St Mirren preview
After that humiliating defeat to Queen’s Park, Rangers and Philippe Clement needed a reaction away to an in-form Hearts.
They’ll be the first to admit they rode their luck quite considerably in the capital but the 3-1 victory will have been very welcome.
They also had Jack Butland to thank after a terrific, man of the match display.
Given they’re 18 points ahead of third place Aberdeen and 13 behind leaders Celtic, and out the Scottish Cup, Gers are in no man’s land in the domestic scene at the minute and need to keep ticking over until European football returns.
St Mirren have won four of their last six games away from home and head into the weekend in sixth spot on goal difference.
