Though Prometheus will never be the best installment in the Alien franchise, it does make the two upcoming Alien movies even more exciting than they already were. Prometheus occupies a unique spot in the larger Alien franchise: some people hate it, while others adore it. In reality, it sits somewhere in the middle of the ranking of the best Alien movies: it’s far better than installments like Alien: Resurrection, but it’s not quite as good as the originals. What Prometheus has accomplished, however, is tremendous news for the future of the Alien franchise.
