Persona 5 was a game full of twists, and there’s one in particular that’s highly unlikely to get repeated in Persona 6. It’s still far too early to speculate on the specifics of what the plot of Persona 6 might entail. However, simply repeating the past game’s story beats would lead to diminishing returns. This would be especially true for one of the game’s biggest twists, which would have far less impact the second time around, especially if it was used twice in a row. Persona 6 will need more original surprises to keep players guessing during the game.
