Our shocking photos, taken on Thursday, reveal the extent of the parking chaos.
In just one afternoon, multiple instances of double parking were observed across a short stretch of the road.
Images show vehicles, including cars with hazard lights flashing, blocking access to already legally parked cars.
Meanwhile, lorries and work vans were seen parked on dropped kerbs and pavements, obstructing passage for other vehicles attempting to navigate the street.
In one particularly brazen case, a car was being repaired in the middle of the road next to legally parked vehicles, with two individuals working on its engine.
Local residents have condemned the drivers for their dangerous and illegal parking practices.
Although it has been six years since the Transport (Scotland) Act 2019 was passed by Holyrood, councils have only had the authority to enforce it in the past 15 months.
Since the start of this year, it has been an offence for motorists to park with their wheels on the pavement, double park, or obstruct dropped kerbs.
Drivers caught double parking face a fine of £100 – reduced to £50 if paid within two weeks.
Glasgow City Council introduced its own parking ban last month, marking a year since the initiative was launched in Edinburgh.
However, many locals believe not enough has been done to tackle the scourge of “menacing motorists.”
Taking to Glasgow’s subreddit, Glaswegians vented their frustration at the council’s failure to address the issue of double parking in their community.
One commenter wrote: “That whole stretch of PRW is a nightmare, and the streets off it are almost as bad.
“Double parking is covered under the Transport (Scotland) Act 2019, so the council need to get their s*** together and start enforcing it.”
Another said: “Last night they were literally parked right at the bus stop. You had to go into the middle of the road to get on the bus. Always seems to be flashy BMWs and the like.”
A third remarked: “A couple of weeks ago: the light turned red for traffic, one car drives through, then another at even higher speed, and just when I dared to step on the crossing, a NED with a modified e-bike sped through.
“Actually, I was cycling that stretch tonight, and it’s always an adrenaline rush when cycling in the middle of the road with double parked cars on either side and a BMW with tinted windows behind me.”

A fourth added: “Driving down that stretch of PRW is the most intense driving safety awareness course.”
Glasgow City Council have been approached for comment.
