THERE are multiple delays facing road users this morning as a number of incidents are causing disruption.
And public transport has been thrust into chaos this morning too with bus transfers in place for one major route.
On the M11/N11 headed northbound traffic bosses are warning “delays will occur” due to a multi-vehicle collision.
The crash is sitting between J7 Bray and J6 Bray affecting Lane 2.
Transport Infrastructure Ireland have warned: “Delays to your journey will occur. Consider a different journey route or start time.
“When approaching the collision location, drive with caution, reduce your speed and obey instructions from emergency services.”
And on the M50 southbound a breakdown involving a “car or motorbike” was reported just after 8.30am.
The obstruction is sitting between J6 M50/N3 and J7 M50/N4.
The breakdown is impacting Lane 2 on the busy stretch.
Along the M50 southbound and Northbound this morning there is congestion.
And on the M7/N7 debris has been reported on the road between J1a Newlands Cross and J2 Kingswood.
There is also an incident in Dublin city this morning with services attending the scene.
The incident is located on Fairview Strand inbound.
It is blocking the bus lane and the left lane.
RAIL DELAYS
And Irish Rail passengers are facing “significant delays” this morning on Galway and Mayo routes.
The issue arose due to machines working overnight being stopped on the tracks due to mechanical faults.
Posting on social media to alert passengers this morning rail bosses said: “Significant disruption to Mayo/Galway rail services.
“Bus transfers in place from Portarlington to Tullamore in both directions until further notice.
“Due to mechanical faults on track machines working overnight in the area.”
As a result of this the bus transfers are in place from Westport to Heuston.
Bus transfers are also in place for Athlone to Westport routes both ways and the Ballina to Manulla service will operate through to Claremorris.
Irish Rail have warned “delays will occur” and that there will be knock on delays at Portarlington and for Hueston commuter services.
PARKING ALERT
Irish rail have also issued a parking alert to customers travelling from Waterford this morning.
They warned customers that the carpark at the rail station is full and customers will need to find “alternative arrangements”.
They said: “Passengers are advised that both car parks are full at 08:35hrs. 20.02.2025
“Passengers wishing to park and travel are advised to seek alternative arrangements.”
