Leonardo DiCaprio Is Now Coming for Tom Cruise: Oscar Winner’s Next Role With Damien Chazelle Is What Tom Cruise Was Born to Play

With this in mind, it is not surprising that he has done adaptations and movies based on real-life countless times in his career. Most recently, DiCaprio could be going down another path with his career, off the Snake River Canyon on a motorcycle. Only there is one other person who would be perfectly suited for the role.

Leonardo DiCaprio could be moving towards his next Oscar

A good actor and a good director can accomplish the world together. Regardless of other elements out of their control, when a director has a vision and an actor can bring it to life, masterpieces are born. While such an experience is rare in Hollywood, Leonardo DiCaprio has become somewhat of a connoisseur at finding such projects.

Most recently, it was reported by Puck that the actor could be collaborating with Damien Chazelle on his next film. Chazelle famously worked on beloved projects like Whiplash and La La Land, making him the perfect person to collaborate with.

The film is set to adapt the life of Hollywood stuntman and icon, Evel Knievel. Best known for his dangerous motorcycle jumps, which he entertained with throughout his life, regardless of the cost it handed to him. The film is expected to focus on his Snake River Canyon jump and is set to start filming in the summer.

Considering the fantastic story, excellent direction, and DiCaprio’s alleged involvement, one can assume that the film is going to be magnificent.

Tom Cruise is the modern Evel Knievel

While there is no denying that Leonardo DiCaprio would be perfect to play the role of Evel Knievel in his film, there is one other person who perfectly captures the essence of the stuntman. Tom Cruise has been performing some of the most dangerous stunts in the film industry without even having the title of a stuntman in his job description.

In the Mission: Impossible series, Tom Cruise has been doing some of the craziest stunts for no reason. The actor could have easily used a stuntman instead of hanging off a plain or jumping off a cliff on a motorcycle. However, he decided to do them himself, just for the sake of it.

Knievel was famously similar to Cruise in his essence. Although his dream was to jump across the Grand Canyon, being confident that he could do it, he was unable to get approval from the government to do it. The next best thing was the Snake River Canyon, which was unfortunately a failure when his parachute deployed prematurely.

Considering the life he lived, as well as his passion for thrilling experiences, he possesses a lot of similarities with Cruise. Additionally, the physical similarities between the actor and Knievel have also not been lost, with him not requiring much change to look exactly like the legend. With this, he may be better suited to play the role than DiCaprio.
