Yes, you read that right. No matter how “woo woo” you might think it is, Kim Kardashian frequently visits mediums to talk to her late father, Robert Kardashian. The famed lawyer died from esophageal cancer in 2003, and his secondborn just revealed on a new episode of The Kardashians that she has been “speaking” to him.
And it turns out the dad of four has a lot to say about one of his 11 grandkids.
“Every time I go to a medium or something, they always say, ‘Your dad is coming through to tell you that you’re not going to be able to stop North,’” Kardashian said during a confessional. “She wants to have a big career and you’re not going to be able to hold it back.”
And yes, depending on your spiritual persuasions, you might be rolling your eyes, but it’s clear that the SKIMS owner is serious about her beliefs. And it’s clear that Rob Sr. is persistent.
“For years everyone’s been telling me,” she continued.
For years. “Every time.” “Always.” This is not a one-off thing. Robert Kardashian’s supposed spirit has an ongoing and strong message about Kardashian’s eldest child who she shares with ex-husband Kanye West.
This revelation comes after Kardashian faced backlash for her comments about her “unstoppable” daughter. Earlier this month, the mom of four said she was “conflicted” about her 11-year-old’s career.
“I thought I was busy before,” Kardashian told her mom Kris Jenner on a previous episode of their reality show. “ … Me having to be [North’s] momager right now, is crazy. … If she has a shoot, I have to be there all day, so it’s like her or me.”
“I’m really conflicted on my daughter’s career … I just really want to make sure that everything’s really well balanced,” she continued. “All of the work experiences are balanced out with just enough fun life experiences.”
Jenner posted a clip of that conversation on Instagram, and followers were ripping Kardashian a new one in the comment section.
“Shes 11 why does she need a career???” one person said. Another said, “Your daughter should be concerned about school not a career.”
Others hated the “her or me” mentality and thought it was time for Kim to pass the torch (and the spotlight) to her daughter who is already recording a rap album. “Kim should let her daughter shine,” one person said.
And whether Kim stays on her current “momager” path or hires a manager for her tween, she should remember that North’s continued success is inevitable.
