Kanye West has once again set social media ablaze with a fiery Instagram post, calling out former collaborators Adidas, Fear of God designer Jerry Lorenzo, and individuals he accuses of betrayal.
The post, shared on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, sees Ye reflecting on his past experiences in the fashion industry while reaffirming his dominance with the Yeezy brand.
“When you Google Yeezy.com, the Adidas site comes before the Yeezy site. Members at Adidas, stop doing this. Stop your moves to hold me back. Our partnership is done,” Kanye wrote, expressing frustration over lingering ties with his former business partner.
The fallout between Kanye and Adidas dates back to issues of design theft and disagreements over creative control.
“I did phenomenal work for you guys, and because I stood up for myself, y’all tried to intimidate and oppress me,” Kanye added, referencing his tumultuous history with the company, including the infamous controversies surrounding his social media comments.
Kanye didn’t stop there. He criticized Jerry Lorenzo for collaborating with Adidas after their dispute, branding the move as “corny and disloyal.”
He recalled showing up to support Lorenzo’s show despite their differences but vowed never to repeat such actions, declaring, “It’s Yeezy over everything.”
In his post, Kanye also took aim at individuals he described as “fake friends” who he claimed used their association with him to promote subpar imitations of Yeezy designs. “They never wanted to truly work for the king.
They wanted to use the king,” he said, adding, “NO MORE HUGS. I am here to dominate as I always have.”
Kanye also reflected on the success of Yeezy after parting ways with Adidas, boasting that Yeezy.com made $100 million in just six months last year.
“We sold over a million pairs of pods, and I’ve been working on ten other styles for the past two years. It’s Yeezy for the people. Everything else was in the way,” he stated proudly.
