Hoda Kotb has an exciting new project in the works! Following her departure from the Today show, the former news anchor, 60, revealed that she’s got “something fun cooking” with Joanna Gaines.
Hoda posted a series of pics to Instagram on February 5 of her and the Fixer Upper star, 46, filming content with a camera crew. While the exact nature of their work is “being kept a huge secret,” says a source, “their onscreen chemistry is fantastic.”
Hoda and Joanna bonded the first time the Magnolia mogul appeared on Today, the source shares, and have been friends for years.
“When Hoda was looking for people to collaborate with, Joanna was at the top of the list,” says the source. “The two of them get along fabulously and Joanna is someone that impresses Hoda in every way. Everyone in the industry is expecting this joint venture to be a hit.”
Fans of the TV personality and the home renovation star could not contain their excitement when they heard that the pair would be collaborating on something special.
“I’m looking forward to seeing what you’re cooking up, Hoda,” one person commented on Hoda’s Instagram post with Joanna.
“Can’t wait to see what’s next for you Hoda!!” another person said.
A third person wrote, “Wow…talk about a match made in heaven!! Can’t wait to see what transpires!!”
Hoda’s collaboration with Joanna isn’t the only project she’s got brewing since her exit from Today in January. The broadcaster also shared that she is working on a wellness app and hinted at when it will be released.
“So, I kind of got hooked in the wellness space, like a couple years ago,” Hoda revealed during an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show. “I started doing stuff that I thought seemed woo-woo and weird, and then all of a sudden, as I was doing it, I was like, ‘Wait, I feel calmer, I feel better.’ Woo-woo makes you feel good!”
“So I am starting a wellness app and company that will involve retreats and a podcast and all kinds of things that we can get together do things that I love,” she remarked. “So this thing, I think, is going to launch in the spring, so we’re in the building process, but I can’t wait, and I’ll come and tell you about it as soon as it’s ready.”
On top of all of her thrilling projects ahead, most of all, Hoda is excited to continue making unforgettable memories with her two daughters, Haley, 8, and Hope, 5. The family of three moved into a new home in the suburbs a few months ago and they have been loving their new neighborhood.
“I’m going to take them to wherever they want to go,” Hoda told E! News of her plans with her kids during an October 2024 interview. “I’m going to bring them home later. I’m going to fire up the BBQ. I don’t care what the temperature is, I love everything barbecued. I’m going to make burgers and salmon.”
