Joe Rogan’s obsession with gaming is public knowledge at this point since he reiterates the same point time and again in his podcasts. He used to be a big fan of the Quake series and spent a lot of money during the early 2000s to ramp up his internet connection so that he could perform well in the game.

Now, with the emerging trend of VR gaming, especially Population 1, which is a battle royale, there might be a chance that he might now get sucked into the VR vortex and if he does, he will do so with full dedication.
Joe Rogan has admitted to getting addicted to video games

Rogan has had problems with dealing with game addiction during the early years of his life. He sees video games as a great source of adrenaline. He was a big Quake player back in the day and got sucked into it even more after trying out the online version.
He feels that life in itself is too boring when compared to the exciting lives that one gets to experience while playing video games. He is also a tech – enthusiast who talks a lot about tech advancements and how they can affect our day-to-day lives, including the technological revolution of video games. During one of his podcasts, Rogan said:
When I am playing video games, i am just absorbed in this like adrenaline fueled chaos of graphics and sounds and explosions, it’s just way too good, that’s the problem, you don’t wanna do anything else.
VR seems to be the next big thing in video games and there are already some online games available on the platform including Population 1. It is very easy to get sucked into the vortex of competitive online games and the chances just increase when you are presented with even more immersion via a VR kit.
Especially for someone like Rogan who already has had a history of getting hooked on to games fast. Population 1 could hook someone like him since he enjoys immersive experiences.
Joe Rogan has an intense all-in personality

Rogan has spent thousands of dollars to make a high-end Quake setup just to relive the experience of playing that game which is a clear indicator of his intense approach toward doing anything that he finds interest in. He is also a big advocate of video games.
If somehow Rogan finds his way into the VR world, it might attract more people to it as well, since he has a huge fan following. His influence and contribution could even push for more VR gaming advancements in the future.
Given his intense all-in approach towards anything that he does, if and when he decides to join the VR club, it is over for him. He might become a victim to the adrenaline rushes and high-quality immersion that this up-and-coming tech offers. What do you think about it? Let us know in the comments below.
