Rothwell plays Belinda in the series who was previously the masseuse at the White Lotus resort in Maui, Hawaii. Interestingly, Rothwell has kickstarted a habit that she dropped a few years ago and it is likely to go on for the next four years.

The Insecure actress’ habit continued for four years when Trump was President in his previous tenure. Her ‘habit’ was covered by Harper’s Bazaar in an interview, where she shared, “It started off as a way to blow off post-election steam, but I quickly realized it was serving a very different and important purpose for me.”
She added that it was “a daily reminder” and “a call to action”, which helped her stay focused. When asked if she planned to make it a habit for four long years, Rothwell shared that it wasn’t a premeditated move. She shared that it slowly turned into a meditative process and helped her with her mental health. She shared:
It wasn’t at all premeditated. At first, I kept doing it because it felt good to speak truth to power, but it turned into a kind of daily meditative protest. Slacktivism at its finest, to be sure, but it did wonders for my mental health and seemed to bring joy to folx.
When Joe Biden won the election on January 20, 2021, Rothwell tweeted, “IT’S TRASH DAY.” She might not be happy that Trump is now back in the office, as suggested by her new tweets.

Natasha Rothwell’s storyline in The White Lotus Season 1 largely revolved around Belinda’s friendship with guest Tanya McQuoid, played by Jennifer Coolidge. They discuss plans to start a wellness business together, funded by Tanya. Belinda’s hopes were sky-high, however, things quickly go south when Tanya meets Jon Gries’ Greg Hunt.
Tanya ghosts Belinda and invests herself and her money in Greg’s plans. She blows off a dinner with Belinda, whose hopes are shattered. She gets a bittersweet ending when the guests hand her an envelope with cash. While it wasn’t enough to kickstart her wellness business, it was still better than leaving her with nothing.
In the new season, she arrives at the resort in Thailand as part of an exchange program to learn more about wellness programs. Fans are already loving her in the third season premiere. In 2024, Rothwell also debuted her original scripted show, How to Die Alone, on Hulu. She is also the creator and lead actress of the show.
