FORMER Towie star Pete Wicks and Joe Wicks share similar physical features and happen to have the same last name.
And as Joe gears himself up to be the latest investor on BBC’s Dragons’ Den, fans are wondering if the two long-haired TV stars are related. Here’s everything you need to know.
Is Pete Wicks related to Joe Wicks?
Despite online speculation, Pete Wicks and Joe Wicks are not related.
They share the same last name, but they are not known to be related to each other.
Pete is a reality TV personality known for his appearances on The Only Way Is Essex, while Joe is a fitness coach, author, and television presenter.
They come from different backgrounds and are not reported to have any family connections.
Does Pete Wicks have any siblings?
It is not known if Pete has any siblings, but he has a strong relationship with his mum, Tracy.
His parents split when he was 11.
In 2022, Pete opened up and revealed on Channel 4’s Celebs Go Dating, that his dad walked out on his mum when he was younger and they have had little contact since.
Pete said: “My dad’s a good man.
“I don’t have a relationship with him.
“My mum and dad split up when I was younger and I understand things are difficult but I wasn’t enough for him to stay.”
He added: “[I’ve felt] Sadness and anger. I was able to keep it under control for years.”
Although not biologically related, Pete often refers to I’m A Celebrity star Sam Thompson as his “brother“.
Their bromance has stood the test of time since the pair met on Celebs Go Dating in 2018 and they now present the podcast Staying Relevant together.
The dynamic duo often leave fans in stitches with their wacky social media skits and polar opposite personalities.
In August 2022, Sam shared a sweet post on Instagram following his 30th birthday after jetting off to Marbella with his girlfriend Zara McDermott and a few of his close friends.
Without Sam’s knowledge, Pete flew out to surprise him.

Reacting to the special moment, Sam penned: ”Two of the most important role models in my life. My dad and my brother. One super posh and the other born in juvie.
”Can’t thank you enough @p_wicks01 for coming out and braving me and my mates for 3 days!
“Honestly made my birthday.”
Pete visited Sam in the jungle during his stint on I’m A Celebrity 2023.
Sam was overjoyed with the news that his bestfriend will star in Strictly Come Dancing 2024[/caption]
And in August 2024, Sam showed his excitement at Pete’s new TV role.
The pair shared a clip of the moment that Sam found out that Pete will be appearing on Strictly Come Dancing.
Pete gifted him with a bag with a Strictly glitterball inside to hint at what his next TV appearance would be.
Sam jumped up from the sofa and shouted: “NO! You’re doing Strictly!
“He’s doing Strictly! It’s a glitter ball! You’re doing Strictly.”
Sam then jumped on Pete and gave him a hug.
Pete is now set to become a tattooed Paul O’Grady-type presenter in a show that could rival Alison Hammond’s For the Love of Dogs.
The 37-year-old’s new four-parter, Pete Wicks: For Dogs’ Sake, follows him volunteering at Dogs Trust rehoming centres.
As a dedicated dog dad to two French rescue bulldogs – Eric and Peggy – animal lover Pete will host the UKTV show via his own production company as he uses fame as a platform to campaign for animal rights.
It comes after he turned around his image in recent years following the closure of two companies with £1million worth of debt.
His personal firm PW Promotions Ltd went bust in February 2023 in £100k of debt, much of this owed to HMRC and the bank.
Does Joe Wicks have any siblings?
Unlike Pete, Joe has an “incredible” bond with his father, Gary, despite a chaotic childhood with his dad struggling with a heroin addiction.
Joe has two brothers who are called Nikki and George.
He is very close to Nikki as they both share a passion for fitness and well-being.
Nikki is the CEO of Joe’s The Body Coach empire and has a background in consumer and trade magazines and branded content.
He was by Joe’s side when he received his MBE in March 2022.
At the time Joe told his followers that the medal also belonged to his brother, who had helped him build his online fitness empire.
He said: “Nikki is my brother. He’s also my best friend. Every single time I did PE with Joe, he was in my ear. I couldn’t have done it without him.
“We had mornings where we just weren’t in the mood for it but said come on, let’s give them the best workout of their lives.
“Together we just managed, just through Nikki’s voice in my ear and his energy, it really picked us both up. He was kind of like my right-hand man who you couldn’t see.”
George seems to have a completely different interest from his brothers and reportedly works as a tree surgeon in Thailand.
Previously speaking about George to the Daily Mail, Joe said: “I was ten when my mum had George, and I loved him to pieces.
“I’d run home from school to be with him. He was like my pet! I couldn’t hang out with him enough.”
In August 2024, Joe raised eyebrows when he shared a video on Instagram of him drinking his wife’s breast milk before attending Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert.
Now, Joe is officially joining Dragons’ Den as an investor, imparting some of his own good fortune on to others.
As of 2025, he’s built an impressive £55million empire, which includes a £4.4million luxury mansion in Surrey and a sprawling second home in sunny Santa Monica, California.
Speaking about taking part on the show, Joe said: “I can’t wait to step into the Den as a Guest Dragon and meet all the brilliant and passionate entrepreneurs.
“My own journey has shown me that with the right mindset and a lot of hard work, anything is possible.”
