NOBODY wants to turn up to the school gates looking like they’ve just rolled out of bed – and it’s officially been deemed “not acceptable” by hosts of mega popular parenting podcast, MadeByMammas.

TV and radio presenter Zoe Hardman and marketing whizz Georgia Dayton told listeners exactly what they should be wearing to the pick-up instead.

And luckily, you don’t have to break the bank to look effortlessly stylish, as they’ve recommended a budget-friendly Tesco basic for busy mums to wear.

On their Friday Q&A episode, Zoe and Georgia discussed spring fashion for 2025, admitting that this time of the year it’s “quite difficult to know what to wear.”

With the days getting lighter and feeling longer, it can be tempting to start refreshing the wardrobe with lighter clothing says Georgia, warning “you can’t quite do that yet.”

A listener name Jenna had written in to the pod to ask the ladies for school run outfit ideas, a request Zoe said they receive “hundreds of times.”

She admitted: “You don’t want to look like a complete mess on the school run.”

“No, and pyjamas is not acceptable,” Georgia agreed.

Dubbing the fashion faux pas “not a thing,” Zoe gave listeners a handy hack for always looking trendy on the school run, even if they don’t have time to do “a full look.”

She said: “I’ve got one draw that has an amazing array of activewear leggings, and that is where I start off. That’s always my base.”

And you might be surprised to hear that the fashion-conscious mothers turn to a bargain clothing range for their comfy yet classy activewear – praising Kate Ferdinand‘s range for Tesco F&F.

Zoe said: “I’ve got to be honest, I’ve started wearing the F&F Tesco range that Kate Ferdinand did – oh my god, the quality is amazing.”

Georgia agreed, calling the leggings “really good.”

Kate’s stunning activewear range dropped in Tesco last January, and shoppers went wild for the affordable clothing collection.

They raced to stores to get their hands on the pocket-friendly gym range, which even included a dupe for Adanola’s fancy designer workout wear.

And the affirmation by style experts Zoe and Georgia prove that Kate’s range has stood the test of time, as they recommended the super flattering, high waisted leggings – which cost just £16.

To complete the look, Zoe recommends a pair of Nike socks, some trainers and a T shirt.

For added warmth, she says to layer an “oversized hoodie or roundneck jumper,” before adding an “oversized coat or a shorter puffer.”

Then, she recommends accessorising with a couple of gold necklaces, a pair of earrings and a beanie.

“That basically, essentially, is my school run look. And you can mix it up with different tones, different colours, different textures,” she told listeners, “that for me is really easy, and you can plan it the night before and it will take you five minutes to get changed.”

Who is Kate Ferdinand?

KATE Ferdinand is the wife of ex-footballer turned pundit Rio.

She shot to fame on our TV screens when she landed a part on reality show TOWIE.

She was born on June 3, 1991, in Essex, and prior to getting her break on TV she worked as a Business Support Manager at a bank.

Kate had been dating a cast member of the show, Dan Edgar, and managed to get her break into stardom when she landed a role on the show herself after the two split in real-life.

Kate is thought to have amassed a wealth of around £1.1m.

Aside from her TV work, she has a number of business interests.

She invested in a Bromley-based business Dolly Donuts and is now a director of the company.

Kate and Rio jetted out to the D Maris Bay hotel in Marmaris, Turkey, in September 2019 to tie the knot.

Ex-footballer Rio and the reality star kicked off celebrations on September 26 with a pre-wedding party for their high-profile guests.

The big day then followed the next afternoon with Rio’s daughter playing the important role of Maid of Honour.

Loved-up Rio and Kate ended their epic three-day celebrations at the £4,000 a night hotel with a pool party.

Kate has stepped away from the limelight to be a mum to her and husband Rio’s children.

She is still something of a social media sensation and her Instagram account has more than 1.5m followers.

You can also find her in the gym five days a week after she admitted she has to work hard to maintain her incredible figure.
