SHE used to have “preferential treatment from men” due to her good looks.
But since hitting her late forties and early fifties, Nadiya Bekar has felt that her “pretty privilege” has gone.

The beauty expert, who is nearly 53, has said she has “become invisible” but revealed that she is a fan of it.
She now wants to “normalise” calling herself beautiful because, when she previously had her pretty privilege, she was hard on herself.
Speaking on her TikTok page ‘bekarbeauty‘, Nadiya shared a video of herself doing a makeup tutorial whilst talking about ageing.
She says: “I’ve got older, and I obviously am a world away from who and where I was. I realised that that’s a shame.”
Nadiya wants to celebrate “being beautiful” and doesn’t “care what anyone says.”
She continues: “I know I am my own version of pretty or beautiful, or whatever you want to call it, within its limitations. I know I’m not the best-looking woman in the world.”
Nadiya has been sober for “almost six years” after previously becoming reliant on alcohol.
After giving up drinking, she reveals her face is now more fresh-looking, “glowing and gorgeous.”
She then goes on to explain a Boots beauty buy which she believes is as good as the marketing.
Nadiya bought the Huda Beauty baking powder in Peach Pie, which can be purchased from Boots for £34.
Talking about the product, she says: “That’s a complete and utter thumbs up from me. Love it.”
She continues: “I usually like a little bit of a sheen and a glow over my face, but I have been realising that it’s been because I used to have a really oily t-zone and obviously I’ve gone through menopause.
“My skin’s drier, but that kind of takes that away without taking the sheen away. I’m super happy.”
Finishing off her video, she adds: “I’m going to love myself today. I suggest you do the same because it’s okay.

“Think about what you’re going to look like in 10 years’ time and think about wanting to look exactly like you look today. I used to be pretty.”
Her video gained over 70,000 views, with many rushing to the comments section to praise Nadiya.
One wrote: “Please don’t say you used to be pretty, you still are very naturally beautiful, which is the best beauty of them all.”
A second added: “You are still beautiful, but I know how you feel. 52 this year and struggle with my changing features.”
Meanwhile, a third said: “I actually get you! Being ‘pretty’ comes with a privilege, but it can also be a curse.”
How is celery juice an anti-ageing potion?

Celery juice is packed with antioxidants like vitamin C and flavonoids, which combat free radicals that cause cellular damage and aging.
Its high water content keeps your skin hydrated and plump, reducing the appearance of wrinkles.
The anti-inflammatory compounds in celery, such as apigenin and luteolin, help reduce chronic inflammation linked to ageing.
Rich in essential nutrients like vitamin K and potassium, celery juice supports overall skin health and body functions.
Drinking celery juice regularly can complement a balanced diet and skincare routine, promoting a youthful glow from within.
