AT 29-years-old, I have only ever worn two scents; DKNY Apple as a teen and Vera Wang Princess as an adult.
I have spritzed and sprayed thousands of fragrances in hope of finding a new favourite.
Associate Editor Rebecca Miller tried all three fragrances[/caption]
All three fragrances are £6.99[/caption]
But instead of delighting my senses, my nose is left turning upwards in disgust.
Aldi sent me its new fragrances from the Lacura range to try.
There are three scents; Golden Beauty, Radiant Majesty and Forever Adore – all £6.99 each – and launching in stores today.
Because of my track record with perfumes, I was not hopeful. But a few spritzes later…
Golden Beauty
With notes of Lily, Solar Notes and Frangipani, warmed by Amber and Benzoin, the fragrance is said to be Parisian-inspired.
Golden Beauty was the strongest scent, lingering long after it had been sprayed, with notes of lily the most present.
It oozes sexiness, sophistication and confidence – everything a Parisian woman is.
It wouldn’t be a fragrance I would wear but I appreciate the floral authenticity – it smells just like I’ve walked into a room with a bunch of lilies that have just bloomed.
Radiant Majesty
With a powerful blend of Vanilla, Lavender, Ginger, and Cacao, Radiant Majesty is said to be a “quintessentially British [and] elegant” fragrance.
I’m not usually one for sweet scents but Radiant Majesty is not sticky or cloying like many can be.
The fragrance reminds me of an English rose garden in summer.
It smells youthful and expensive – a perfect Christmas pressie for a money-conscious mum with a beauty-obsessed teen.
Forever Adore
Forever Adore was my favourite scent from the three[/caption]
Escape to an Italian winter paradise with Forever Adore perfume.
This captivating fragrance will whisk fans away with notes of Candied Lemon, Panna Cotta and Orange Blossom, with hints of Vanilla and Rum on the finish.
A really interesting scent I would call my favourite of the three.
This is a lovely light, zingy number – not too fresh that people will wonder if you’ve just squeezed oranges and lemons – but the vanilla deliciously balances out the citrus.
It’s a really warming, creamy fragrance – notes you’d recognise from festive or winter fragrances.
The scent is said to be extremely similar to that of Estee Lauder’s Infinite Sky perfume which costs £78 for 40ml.
Forever Adore is £71 cheaper and would make the perfect stocking filler.
