Robert Pattinson finally got the memo on The Batman 2, and it only took, well, forever. The Twilight alum, who turned Gotham’s broodiest detective into a box office juggernaut, had been left in the dark about the sequel’s storyline – until now.

With Matt Reeves crafting another deep dive into Gotham’s underbelly, speculation ran wild.
Robert Pattinson finally knows The Batman 2 story, and he’s hyped

Robert Pattinson finally cracked the code on The Batman Part II. After months of mystery, the actor revealed that he now knows what the highly anticipated sequel is all about. And according to him, it’s “very cool.”
Pattinson spilled the details while promoting Mickey 17 in London. The sci-fi thriller, directed by Bong Joon-ho, had him juggling 17 different versions of the same character – a challenge he couldn’t resist. But while Mickey 17 pushed him in wild new directions, his Caped Crusader duties were never far from the conversation.
With The Batman Part II delayed, fans have been desperate for updates. Pattinson, ever the cryptic storyteller, kept it brief but intriguing. He admitted that director Matt Reeves is meticulous with his scripts, keeping even his leading man in suspense. But now that the wait is over, he’s all in. Pattinson said,
Matt is a very careful writer but I finally now know what it’s about. It’s very cool and I’m very excited.
Beyond Gotham, Pattinson’s been busy adjusting to fatherhood. He and Suki Waterhouse welcomed a daughter last year, and apparently, she’s already a pro sleeper. He even boasted about mastering “stealth diaper changes” like a true superhero.
As for future projects, he’s open to anything, even something his daughter can enjoy. For now, though, all eyes are on The Batman Part II. The first film reinvented Gotham with a darker, detective-driven approach, and expectations are sky-high for the sequel. With Pattinson hyped, it’s safe to say Reeves has cooked up something special.
Now the real question: who’s causing chaos in Gotham this time?
Robert Pattinson channeled Fargo for his Mickey 17 accent, without realizing it

Robert Pattinson’s latest challenge? Nailing a bizarre accent for his dual roles in Bong Joon-ho’s Mickey 17. Turns out, he unintentionally borrowed from a Coen Brothers classic.
In the sci-fi thriller, Pattinson plays multiple versions of Mickey Barnes, a disposable worker who gets replaced every time he dies. His 17th and 18th iterations each have distinct voices – one inspired by Peter Stormare in Fargo, the other by Steve Buscemi. The actor only put the pieces together mid-interview.
Pattinson admitted, saying he unknowingly channeled both characters:
I actually think I realized today what I was doing. We were doing an interview earlier and Bong said one of the thoughts he was having for 18 was Peter Stormare from Fargo.
And then I think how that went into my head was to do Steve Buscemi as 17. I kind of did it by accident, but I don’t think I realized that until today. I thought I was doing something else.
With Mickey 17 dropping March 7 and a cast including Mark Ruffalo, Steven Yeun, and Naomi Ackie, fans are in for a wild, mind-bending ride. And now, they’ve got another reason to listen closely.
The Batman 2 will be released in 2027.
