Wrestling fans will be following their favourite stars in the Road to Wrestlemania Europe tour.

And they will be treated to Cena’s last times in the ring before he retires.

The WWE legend, 47, announced he would be calling it quits at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view in July.

But there will be one final chance to see him in action as he appears at the European live shows.

And Scots are in with a chance as one of them is set to be held in Glasgow.

WWE will be at the OVO Hydro on March 24 and could see him enter the ring with Scots wrestler Drew McIntyre.

There will also be shows in Brussels and London.

A spokesperson for WWE said: “WWE announced that John Cena will return to Europe this March as part of his 2025 Farewell Tour and appear live on Raw for the final time in Brussels, Glasgow and London.

“Fans attending the Road to WrestleMania tour of Europe will also see their favorite WWE Superstars just weeks ahead of WrestleMania 41, including Undisputed WWE Champion “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes, World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER, Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, CM Punk, Liv Morgan, Seth “Freakin” Rollins, Drew McIntyre, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair & Naomi, and many more.

“Fans around the world will be able to watch John Cena’s final return to Raw in Europe live on Netflix, with the episodes airing in Belgium on ABXplore.”

The bombshell announcement left fans stunned as the star said he would be leaving the sport after 24 years – despite vowing not to quot just one year before.

He said: “Tonight, I officially announce my retirement from the WWE.

“I have been doing this a while, I’ve been in WWE for over two decades.

“That’s when noone knows your name, nobody wants to be a friend and only the most dedicated, hardcore fans stand by your side.

“I want to say thank you”

“In all those years, one of the most important, impressive things that I learned was whether the WWE was hot or cold, Canadians always show up.

“WWE is the hottest ticket in town, no doubt. And I’ve also seen tremendous hardship.

“The 2025 Royal Rumble will be my last.

“The 2025 elimination chamber will be my last.

“And I’m here tonight to announce that in Las Vegas, Wrestlemania 2025 will be the last Wrestlemania I compete in.

“I want to say thank you.

“People say they’re walking away, and two years later they come back.

“I want to set the record straight right now, I’m done. This is it.

“If you ever wanted to be a part of this one last time, we’re going to do it as big as we can and we’re fighting everybody and we hope you come enjoy the fun.”

Cena chooses Celtic

BY JONATHAN MOAR

CELTIC could have a new celebrity fan in the form of WWE legend John Cena.

He’s revealed why he’s put the Hoops to the ‘front of the list’ as he bids to decide which UK-based football team to support.

Cena is one of the WWE’s biggest stars of all time but he’s revealed he’ll be retiring from wrestling next year.

The 16-time world champion appears less in WWE these days after his Hollywood career exploded into life across the last decade.

Speaking to talkSPORT, the wrestling legend explained: “I always say I am looking for a team. Everybody says I’m a Tottenham fan, there has been talks of me being a Chelsea fan.

“I say I’m looking for a team. I am still trying to figure out the game, the rivalries, so if you have a good pitch I am willing to listen.”

Cena was being interviewed by talkSPORT presenter Shebahn Aherne, who happens to be a huge Celtic fan.

And the Glasgow-born presenter didn’t miss her chance to make that pitch for Cena to support Celtic.

She said: “Glasgow Celtic, the best fan base in the world. You can walk down the street and you will find yourself a Celtic bar, John Cena. Is that a pitch that works?”

Impressed, Cena revealed he’d be putting Celtic ‘at the front of the list.’
