Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is undeniably a pirate game, but it takes a very different approach from others in the genre, like Assaassin’s Creed Black Flag and Sea of Thieves. There are two essential elements to be expected in any game featuring pirates as its playable protagonist: naval combat and treasure hunting. Many games will mix in other elements – Assassin’s Creed adds a dash of series-typical stealth, and Sea of Thieves has its free-for-all multiplayer servers.
