Blake Lively alleges she has been emotionally and physically affected by her ongoing legal battle with It Ends With Us costar Justin Baldoni.
“The emotional impact on Ms. Lively has been extreme, not only affecting her, but her family, including her husband and four children,” Lively’s lawyers claim in newly filed court documents obtained by Us Weekly. “There are days when she has struggled to get out of bed, and she frequently chooses not to venture outside in public.”
According to Lively’s team, the 37-year-old actress has allegedly “fought to maintain her personal life and business interests” despite her lawsuit-related struggles.
“Behind closed doors, she has suffered from grief, fear, trauma and extreme anxiety,” the court documents claim. “She also has been experiencing repeated and painful physical symptoms as a result of this experience.”

Lively filmed It Ends With Us with Baldoni, 41, in 2024, later filing a lawsuit against the movie director and accusing him of sexual harassment and fostering a “hostile work environment,” as well as allegedly trying to purposefully destroy her reputation.
Baldoni, meanwhile, has repeatedly and vehemently denied the allegations, eventually filing a $400 million defamation suit against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, in January. The couple, who share four children, rebuffed the claims.
“Mr. Reynolds, too, has been affected mentally, physically, and professionally by his wife’s and children’s pain,” the docs claim. “Worst of all, however, has been the impact on their young children, who have been traumatized and emotionally uprooted in ways that have substantially impacted their well-being.”
According to Lively’s legal representatives, she has also received alleged “threats and harassment” from social media users.
“The threats and harassment are not limited to Ms. Lively,” the docs continue. “Any individual with even a tangential connection with the underlying events faces attack and the inevitable emotional consequence of feeling targeted and shamed. … Other cast members have received threats, online harassment, and floods of comments to their social media accounts.”

Lively and Reynolds, 48, maintained a low profile since the legal drama — a trial date is currently scheduled for May 2026 — until the Sunday, February 16, SNL 50: The Anniversary Special red carpet.
In their first joint red carpet appearance since the scandal, Lively and Reynolds were all smiles on Sunday. Lively’s gown, a silver Tamara Ralph number, even featured embellished flowers that potentially served as a low-key nod to It Ends With Us. (Lively played florist Lily Bloom in the movie.)
Reynolds and Lively watched the broadcast from the star-studded galley in Studio 8H, where the Deadpool & Wolverine star participated in Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s Q&A session.
After the two comics asked how Reynolds was doing, he jokingly replied, “Great. Why, what have you heard?”
The cameras panned back toward Fey, 54, and Poehler, 53, who appeared to mouth apologies before continuing with the segment. Lively, meanwhile, seemed startled by Reynolds’ remarks with her eyes going wide in apparent surprise.
Lively is also gearing up for the upcoming premiere of A Simple Favor 2, which was heavily rumored to have been postponed in the wake of the ongoing lawsuit drama.
“This is total BS. Sorry. The movie is finished and coming out soon,” director Paul Feig wrote via X in January, denying rampant online speculation that the film was somehow impacted by the lawsuits. “The movie is awesome, and Blake and Anna [Kendrick] turn in amazing performances. I can’t wait for you all to see it. Stay tuned for more details. Simple Favor 2 is coming soon!”
It was announced earlier this month that A Simple Favor 2 will debut on Prime Video on Thursday, May 1, after a premiere at SXSW next month.
