He Will be Stronger Than Any Avenger – Robert Pattinson Can be a God Level Marvel Super Villian Who Can Even Destroy Robert Downey Jr’s Doctor Doom

There have been quite a few reports that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is eyeing a new heartthrob from Hollywood to join their saga: Robert Pattinson. After the excellent chops he displayed as the Dark Knight in DCU’s The Batman, he could reportedly join the MCU sometime soon, as these new insider reports have it.

And if these reports are true, then there’s one particular supervillain from the respective saga that the 38-year-old actor could being to life most accurately. To say the least, if he does get cast in the role, then Pattinson could actually be stronger that every Avenger as a big bad who could even destroy Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom: The Molecule Man.

Robert Pattinson could play the “stupidly overpowered” Molecule Man

Robert Pattinson, if genuinely being eyed by Marvel, as per the reports, could become the perfect Molecule Man aka Owen Reece. For one who used to be a lowly lab technician desperate for recognition, Reece miraculously becomes one of the most powerful beings in the universe while fixing an atomic device after he accidentally pokes a pinhole into the universe of a child Beyonder, leading to that energy from that universe empowering him.

According to @comicsexplained on X, the respective character is actually “stupidly overpowered” and is pretty much “as close to god in power as anybody can be” in the comics. In fact, the powers that this particular supervillain exercises are so extensive and powerful that even supers like Franklin Richards, Matthew Molloy, and the Marquis of Death could “all pale in comparison to the power of the Molecule Man.

Looking at his depiction in the comics, there’s a moment in Secret Wars 2 where Reece’s big bad fought the Beyonder and actually had such a massive impact that the fight “sent shockwaves through the multiverse; earthquakes through the multiverse” – not the universe, but the multiverse! Needless to say, this is more than enough to explain how intense his powers are. This was even further perfectly emphasized in Al Ewing’s Ultimates comic.

In this one, there’s a scene where Galactus goes to visit Reece’s villainous counterpart and, as @comicsexplained put it, he seems visibly concerned about it: “Like he’s literally talking to himself, he’s like, ‘Steady yourself, Galan. This man could end you with a single thought.’” When he does show up in front of the Molecule Man, he asks Galactus to sit, and when he says, ‘I think I’m good,’ Reece responds: ‘Have a seat. I wasn’t asking.’

Of course, being as concerned as he was, Galactus does take a seat, as he was asked, which is nothing short of insane because he is quite literally a cosmic entity – even known as the Devourer of Worlds – who consumes planets to sustain his life force. So it’s not quite an understatement when the X handle said, “It’s nuts! It’s crazy, man, like, the Molecule Man is so overpowered!” Because his powers are nothing short of absolutely baffling.

If the Molecule Man debuts in the MCU, it could “blow up their multiverse”

Assuming Robert Pattinson does end up making his way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe and somehow gets miraculously cast as the Molecule Man, as fans are hoping, it could have a tremendous impact on the multiverse of the respective super-verse. To say the least, the character might as well be considered quite literally stronger than the Avengers, and could even defeat Robert Downey Jr.‘s Doctor Doom.

As @comicsexplained put on X, if Pattinson debuts in the MCU as Owen Reece “that means that – really based on the Avengers, the New Avengers and everything – the Marvel Cinematic Universe might blow up their multiverse and just hard reset everything.” This could serve as the hard reset that ends up concluding all the sagas of the Marvel Cinematic Universe – one that would be nothing short of epic, if handled right.

However, as of now, these are only reports that Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has ostensibly met up with DC’s Batman to discuss a potentially exciting role, and none of it has officially been confirmed by either of the parties. That said, fans might as well take all of this with a pinch of salt and keep their expectations of having Pattinson play Reece within limits, unless Marvel ends up disappointing again.
