Glastonbury fans convinced huge Netflix star will perform at iconic festival after spotting clue

GLASTONBURY fans are convinced Joe Keery will perform at the iconic festival after spotting a huge clue in his touring schedule.

Actor Joe, 32, best known for playing Steve Harrington in Netflix’s Stranger Things, also performs as a musician under the stage name Djo.

Fans have noticed that his upcoming tour dates leave a perfectly timed gap during Glastonbury’s festival weekend, fuelling speculation that he could be making a surprise appearance.

DJO is currently set to perform at a string of venues across Europe and the UK, but the suspiciously open slot in late June has fans buzzing about the possibility of a Worthy Farm debut.

One excited fan wrote Reddit: “Yes! Would love to see him and Post Animal at Glasto.”

Someone else added, “He’s on tour in UK and Europe in June,” along with the eyes emoji.

While there’s been no official confirmation, Glastonbury has a long history of surprise performances, with previous shock sets from the likes of The Killers, The Foo Fighters, and even Elton John.

With the festival’s full lineup yet to be announced, fans will have to wait and see whether Keery will swap the Upside Down for the Pyramid Stage this summer.

His track. End of Beginning. has been a viral success on TikTok, propelling it into the top five of the UK singles charts – two years after its initial release.

The Hollywood star has bold ambitions for his live shows, having been forced to abandon performing during the coronavirus pandemic when his second album, Decide, was released.

Speaking to Radio X’s Dan O’Connell, he said last year: “We played a couple shows here and there, but it’s a big bucket list item for me to kind of fully realise these things I thought up in my bedroom that I really wanted to do visually on a big stage.”

The show host even suggested both Coachella and Glastonbury could now be on the cards in 2025.

To which the American actor and musician responded: “Oh you’re spoiling me!”

Stranger Things’ creators announced in January that season five, which is set for a 2025 release, will be the last.

Matt and Ross Duffer said in an open letter: “Seven years ago, we planned out the complete story arc for Stranger Things. At the time, we predicted the story would last four to five seasons. It proved too large to tell in four, but—as you’ll see for yourselves—we are now hurtling toward our finale.”

It means Joe will be freed up to devote more time to his music once it’s complete.

He said: “So… although it will be sad the show ending it will open up the schedule and will mean I can think about that a little bit more seriously.”

The actor first released music under the Djo moniker in 2019, having previously been the drummer for psych-rock band Post Animal.

And new music is imminent with album number three close to being complete.

Joe explained: “Yeah I’m pretty much done recording it almost. Basically I stopped doing [Decider], it came out and then I pretty much started working on something straight away.

“I’ve been kind of cooking as this has been going on and now this song has popped and it’s kinda at a funny time, because where I’m at with this next album is sort of already kind of set in stone. So it’ll be interesting to see how this new stuff goes over given everything that’s gone on.”

Glastonbury 2025 – rumoured acts

THE Glastonbury line-up hasn’t been confirmed – despite the fact tickets for the 2025 event sold out in minutes. Here are some rumoured acts.

Basement Jaxx sparked speculation they will be playing at Worthy Fam after leaving a “Glastonbury shaped gap” in their latest tour schedule.

It came after the hit duo announced their first live shows in 10 years – with gig-goers calling out a key “clue” in the order of their concert dates.

Yet acts including Olivia Rodrigo, Harry Styles, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan and Eminem are rumoured to be in the mix.

Canadian songstress Alanis Morrisette and Simple Minds have also been tipped to take to the stage.

The event will run from Wednesday, June 25 to Sunday June 29 for 2025.
