The Parliament of Ghana has put together its appointment committee to vet nominees of the president for positions in his government.
The committee comprises members from both sides of the legislative house.
The committee was announced following a meeting by the Committee of Selection on January 8, 2025.
The membership of the Appointments Committee was formalised in line with Article 103 of the 1992 Constitution and the Standing Orders of Parliament.
Chaired by Hon. Bernard Ahiafor, the committee is responsible for vetting nominees for ministerial, ambassadorial, and other key positions.
