Mortal Kombat, another cherished video game series, will cross paths with Fortnite. Crossovers are nothing new to Epic’s wildly popular multiplayer battle royale game, which features promotional in-game events and guest character skins based on a variety of popular culture franchises, including Marvel, Star Wars, Transformers, and many more.

This extends to other video games, as this Epic Games battle royale has enabled players to fight throughout the island as legendary characters like Kratos from God of War, Master Chief from Halo, and Lara Croft from Tomb Raider, among many others. However, the main attraction is going to be a mythic weapon, which Epic might have teased already.
Fortnite has teased a new mythic weapon in Chapter 6 Season 2

In Chapter 6 of Season 2, characters from the Mortal Kombat universe will be added to Fortnite. MK icon Sub-Zero will be available as an earnable skin in the upcoming season of the game’s new Battle Pass, according to artwork shared by Epic Games in a recent Twitter post. And this post has attracted all the eyes as we see Sub-Zero in action with an ice gauntlet, firing ice blasts from his hands.

This weapon has already been leaked by popular leaker @ShiinaBR. This leaker also teased the crossover way before the announcement. So, the claim of a new mythic weapon has already got a strong base and seems like just a matter of time now until the official announcement.

In MK, Sub-Zero has control over ice and can manipulate it in a variety of ways. He has the ability to flash-freeze opponents and make an ice statue of himself to serve as a scapegoat.
Now with the prominent leak and tease by the official account of the game itself, we can say fans are getting a new mythic weapon in the form of an ice gauntlet. And fans are going to be using it with full force for sure.
What else is there in the Mortal Kombat crossover?

By including characters from both fighting game franchises simultaneously, Sub-Zero makes Fortnite the first game to enable a Mortal Kombat vs. Street Fighter matchup.
In 2021, Ryu and Chun-Li from Street Fighter joined the well-liked battle royale, and later Cammy, Blanka, and Sakura joined. With both fighting games now finally represented in Fortnite, we can probably expect some creative one-on-one battles between players, minus the bloody violence, of course.
As of now, only Sub-Zero is officially confirmed, but according to another popular leaker @FNBRintel, Scorpion will also make an entry in the game. Not only that, just like his fellow MK character, Scorpion will also bring his iconic spear hook as a mythic weapon in the game. The hook will even play the iconic line “Get over here!” when landing a hit.

The intense inclusion of the MK ninjas suggests that Chapter 6 will continue to evoke iconic Japan-inspired IP and imagery throughout its seasons, even though season 2 is setting up for a heist theme more indicative of a mob or old Western aesthetic.
