No matter which celebrities you root for or what movies you watch, we’re guessing you have a favorite celebrity couple. From more popular choices like Zendaya and Tom Holland to more lowkey couples, like Hailee Steinfeld and Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, everyone has their “one true pairing,” right?
Well, in a recent interview with actor and filmmaker Ed Burns, who’s been married to supermodel Christy Turlington since 2003, he gave fans of their marriage a sweet update we had been hoping for.
When asked by Esquire about the “secret” to their marriage, the 27 Dresses star kept it simple.
“It’s a cliché to say, but communication has been the key,” he told the outlet. “I also think we’ve been very lucky to be on the same page with a lot of the bigger decisions. We both knew we [were] never leaving New York. We both prioritized the kids and our marriage over all of the other stuff. These aren’t conversations we had when we were dating.”
As a reminder, Burns and Turlington share two kids, daughter Grace, 21, and son Finn, 19.

“That’s why I think you get lucky sometimes as you’re moving through the first couple of years of your marriage and the first couple of years of parenting,” Burns continued. “And we’re lucky because we both find each other funny so that just makes life easier if you’re laughing.” How adorable is that?
Considering that Turlington is also a model who turns heads wherever she goes, Burns also talked about whether he’s into fashion like his wife.
“Every day of our marriage, I will come up having changed into what I’m going to wear to dinner. She’ll just look at me, laugh, and say, ‘Absolutely not. That shirt doesn’t go with those pants and that jacket doesn’t go with this. You can’t wear those shoes,’” he remembered. “So, no. If I ever do look presentable, it’s because she’s put me in the right ensemble.” If it works, it works, right?
Coming up for Burns is his new movie Millers in Marriage, which he wrote, starred and directed. Here’s hoping we see him and his beautiful wife at the premiere together!
