The first trailer for the Ridley Scott-produced Dope Thief has been unveiled. The Apple TV+ miniseries follows Academy Award nominees Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta) and Wagner Moura (Narcos) as longtime Philadelphia friends who pose as DEA agents to rob a house in the countryside. Based on Dennis Tafoya’s 2009 novel of the same, the crime drama sees the duo’s small-time con spiral into a dangerous cat-and-mouse game when they inadvertently uncover one of the largest drug networks on the East Coast. Dope Thief will also feature Marin Ireland, Kate Mulgrew, Nesta Cooper, Amir Arison, and Golden Globe winner Ving Rhames.
