The Apprentice director Ali Abbasi has been accused of sexual misconduct. The Apprentice, which is a biopic following the life of Donald Trump from the 1970s through the 1980s, has earned two 2025 Oscar nominations, one for Sebastian Stan as Donald Trump, and the other for Jeremy Strong as Roy Cohn. Prior to helming the Oscar-nominated movie, Abbasi was best known for directing two episodes of the post-apocalyptic HBO series The Last Of Us and the 2022 film Holy Spider, which follows a journalist investigating a serial killer who targets sex workers.
