Viewers of the ITV soap know that Cassie was spiking Ken’s tea and was caught in the act by youngster Bertie.

Cassie then bribed Bertie to stay quiet with a brand new toy on his birthday, but he let slip to Daisy about what he saw.

Ringing alarm bells, Daisy informed Daniel about what Bertie told her.

However, Daniel shrugged it off thinking Bertie must have misunderstood and was convinced Cassie was putting in a sweetener.

Will he regret overlooking Bertie’s observation?

LIDL has launched a totally new way to shop online and you can buy £30 worth of items for just £5.

The German discounter will begin selling products on TikTok shop from this Thursday.

Fitness fanatics will be able to shop the retailers protein and gym range through the shopping feature on the popular social media app.

As part of the offer, savvy shoppers have a chance to pick up a bundle of nine products, which would typically retail for £30 for just £5.

The items include:

• Belbake Protein Pancake Mix – £1.99
• Snaktastic Protein Pop Chips – £0.99
• IronMaxx Whey Protein Powder – £9.99
• IronMaxx Vegan Protein Powder – £9.99

• Crownfield High Protein Flapjacks – £1.99
• Lidl Branded Resistance Bands – bundle item only
• Lidl Branded Microfibre Towel – bundle item only

The items are part of Lidl‘s high-protein products which are available to also shop in store.

Those keen to get their hands on the fitness bundle will have to act fast.

That’s because Lidl will only release 3,000 of the bundles for sale via the @LidlGB TikTok account.

It will go live at 9am and will be done on a first come first serve basis.

If you miss out you can shop for the products at your nearest available Lidl, but you will have to pay for each of them individually.

It’s always worth noting that Lidl’s TikTok shop presence won’t last for very long.

The brand said it will be a temporary pop-up venture, with all proceeds going to charity partner, the NSPCC.

Lidl often runs promotions which give customers the chance to grab limited edition boxes at a low price.

Ahead of Valentine’s Day, it released a bargain Valentine’s Day box with £60 worth of items for just £5.

Back in August, the discount supermarket launched a Lidl mystery box which included £199 worth of items for just £20.

Like the beauty box, a limited number were released online for customers to snap up.

It included everything from a musical keyboard and an electric toothbrush.

Last May, the budget supermarket also launched £2 beauty box, which was also a hit with shoppers.

What is TikTok shop?

TikTok has exploded in popularity since its launch in the UK 2018, with over 20million people now using the app.

Around four years ago, the site launched a shopping feature which lets users by a range of products from clothing to cleaning products.

If you have the app, finding the shopping feature is pretty straightforward.

Simply click on the small basket at the bottom of the site, and it will take you to the feature.

Many UK brands such as ASOS and Cult Beauty sell their goods to customers via TikTok.

You can also bulk buy products such as washing up liquid or toilet roll.

There are hundreds of products to shop on the website but it is important to read product reviews to ensure what you are buying is as described.

Like online shopping, you can use either Apple Pay, a credit or debit card or PayPal.

This profligacy and more by the UK Research and Innovation quango is on top of the BILLIONS in supposed “foreign aid” being blown on sickeningly spurious grounds.

No Government can plead poverty on defence with this borderline criminal squandering of taxpayers’ hard-earned cash rife in the public sector.

Why is Labour not scything through it Elon Musk-style — spending it where we really need or giving it back in tax cuts to kick-start our stagnant economy?

Jails copout

SICK of terror attacks and other atrocities, the public wants politicians to be tough on all crime.

Politicians pledge to be so and get elected. Some even fulfil those promises.

But a predictably limp report by the Government-appointed “Independent Sentencing Review” blames them and the Press for Britain’s jails overflowing.

It’s the fault of “populists”, buckling haphazardly to media pressure to do as voters demand.

The study says jail terms are too common and too long, that prison often doesn’t work and there is an “over-reliance on a tough-on-crime narrative”.

Panel chairman David Gauke, the ­liberal ex-Tory, presumably favours a “soft on crime” narrative.

But the real problem is that successive Governments, the Tories especially, failed to build more prisons as our existing ones became overcrowded hellholes.

Mass immigration has placed an extra burden on them and cells are full of foreign criminals we seem unable to deport.

And the reality is jail DOES work.

Freed prisoners may frequently reoffend . . . but at least they can’t harm innocent people when behind bars.

That may upset hand-wringing liberals whose cosseted lives are untouched by crime.

The public want to be safe. They cannot be blamed for that. Nor can Governments for doing what they ask.

Don’t pretend that prisons don’t work. Build more.

Was rusty after nine months off when second at Huntingdon last time. She’ll come on a bundle for that effort and go one better here.

MAMDOH (6.30 Wolverhampton, Lucky 15)

Won over trip and track two starts ago and went close again at Southwell just four days ago. A good 7lb claimer takes over today and he’s good for our Lucky 15.

The Welsh crooner and The Voice coach will be heading to Dundee to close out the highly anticipated Discovery Festival as a headliner.

The Delilah singer will perform his classic hits in Slessor Gardens as part of his Defy Explanation tour, bringing the three-day event to an unforgettable close.

With a career spanning over six decades, the It’s Not Unusual star has sold more than 100 million records and remains beloved by fans of all ages.

He will take to the stage on Sunday, 27 July.

Outside of Scotland, Jones will play a series of outdoor shows around the country.

Fans of Tom Jones will be able to purchase tickets to see him in Dundee from 10am on Friday, February 21 on general sale.

Ticketmaster and O2 priority pre-sale will be available from Wednesday 10am until 9am on Friday.

Other legendary acts performing at the three-day event include Ocean Colour Scene, The Fratellis, The Human League, and several other big names.

The festival will take place at Slessor Gardens, on Dundee’s waterfront, from 25–27 July 2025.

Friday night will be headlined by 90s legends Ocean Colour Scene, with the evening also featuring a number of iconic homegrown acts.

The Birmingham-born group—who have toured alongside music legends Oasis—battled with the Gallagher brothers for multiple UK number ones in the 90s.

They will be joined on stage by popular Scottish rock band The Fratellis.

Famous for their hit song Chelsea Dagger, the Glasgow-based band will perform as part of their Live in ’25 tour.

Indie band White Lies and Fife singer-songwriter Cammy Barnes are also on the line-up, as Scotland’s newest festival makes its long-awaited debut.

Organisers Liz Hobbs Group said: “We’re delighted to announce another night of incredible music at Dundee’s Slessor Gardens.

“We are certain this is going to be a great evening for fans who not only remember the artists from the first time around but also newer fans who can’t wait to sing along to some incredible indie classics.

A DAD-of-two thought he’d gone nuts after finding a rogue bullet casing in his breakfast.

Richard Morrow, 43, was tipping pecans into a bowl of yoghurt when he discovered the US-made cartridge at the bottom of the packet.

He’d noticed that the bag of nuts, which he bought from a Lidl store in Kidsgrove near Stoke-on-Trent a few months ago, was heavier than normal – but didn’t think much of it.

He told The Sun: “I looked down at my brekkie and thought ‘ there’s an extra shell in my pecans…It’s pretty nuts really.”

The inscription on the brass case reads ‘Frontier 223’ – a type of cartridge manufactured by American ammunition company Hornardy, based in Nebraska.

The military-grade bullet which would have been discharged from it is designed for a rifle, most commonly semi-automatic weapons like an AR-15 – making it suitable for target shooting and varmint hunting.

Baffled by the discovery, electronics engineer Richard, from Alsager in Cheshire, went looking for answers online.

He posted on a Reddit forum, where social media users suggested the case may have been mistakenly picked up during harvesting.

One person responded: “This is spent brass that was probably picked up during harvest. Colour and shape close enough to a pecan that it made it through multiple checks.”

Another added: “These are used in a multitude of different firearms, so there’s no way to reliably narrow it down. They are used in anything from target shooting to hunting and law enforcement, and even self-defense.

“Considering that pecans are native to the United States and Northern Mexico, and the nature of plantations they are harvested from, it’s not easy to narrow down where it might have come from.”

Nearly 80 per cent of global pecan production comes from the USA, with most grown in the states of Georgia, New Mexico and Texas.

In 2022, the country produced 409,000 acres of pecans and harvested over 126 million of the nuts.

More than a quarter is exported abroad.

Almost half of households in all three states own at least one gun.

Richard, who is dad to sons Alex, 11, and Leo, nine, said: “If they are collecting them off the ground, then it’s possible a stray got picked up in the lot.”

Lidl said it will carry out a full investigation into the incident.

The supermarket giant has asked Richard to post the bullet casing to their quality assurance department.

A spokesperson said: “We were very sorry to hear of this matter, as it’s never our intention for a customer to be dissatisfied in any way. We work very closely with our suppliers to ensure that the products we sell meet highest quality and safety standards, and have not received any other enquiries of a similar nature.

“As soon as the customer got in touch, their enquiry was immediately escalated to our quality assurance team, with further information requested from the customer so that a full investigation can be carried out.”

ITV aired on the teaser on the same evening as its highly anticipated Love Island All Stars final.

As another added: “This is how you do a crossover… Celebrity Big Brother is coming.”

Each episode will be once again followed by Celebrity Big Brother: Late & Live each night.

This gives viewers additional content, as well as interviews with evicted housemates.

Among the rumoured names so far is boxer and Love Island star Tommy Fury.

Tommy, 25, had previously signed up to star in last year’s I’m A Celebrity.

However, he pulled out before entering camp – being replaced by eventual winner Danny Jones.

Elsewhere, The Sun on Sunday told how CBB bosses snapped up fellow Love Island hunk Chris Hughes.

A source said: “Producers think Chris will be a great addition to the house.

“He is really entertaining and was one of the most popular and iconic reality contestants with a massive social media following.

“Execs are hoping he will bring his huge young fanbase with him to the show, along with some juicy tales.

“He’s got loads of showbiz mates and has some famous ex girlfriends – he’ll be brilliant.”

Last year’s stars included Fern Britton, Ekin-Su, Louis Walsh and Colson Smith.

In a twist to the format, Sharon Osbourne entered the house temporarily.

Ibiza Weekender’s David Potts went on to win, with Strictly Come Dancing’s Nikita Kuzmin as runner-up.
