Lotto punter bags €213k but narrowly misses out on €29.2million sum as second player claims major €500k prize

A LUCKY Lotto punter has scooped up a whopping €213,502 in tonight’s EuroMillions Lotto draw.

However, the lucky winner was just one number off claiming a mind-blowing €29,270,259 sum.

The player matched five numbers and one lucky star to take home the €213k figure.

However, the EuroMillions jackpot tonight sat at a jaw-dropping €29,270,259.

If the winner had matched just one more number they would have walked away with the life-changing cash amount.

The winning numbers were 1, 3, 11, 20, 43 and lucky stars 2 and 11.

And Lotto bosses have revealed the winning slip was sold in Cork.

So players in the rebel county should check their tickets carefully tonight.

The winner should sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe.

Then they should make contact with the prize claims team.

This can be done by calling the National Lottery Prize Claims Team on 1800 666 222 or emailing claims@lottery.ie.

And in the EuroMillions Plus draw another player will be expanding their bank account in the coming weeks.

One winner managed to scoop up a staggering €500,000 prize.

The winning numbers drawn were 15, 23, 26, 29 and 48.

The winner bought their lucky ticket in Co Wexford, Lotto officials have confirmed.

And 51 players managed to match four numbers in the Plus draw.

They will be walking away with a nice cushioning €2,000 in their back pockets.

And there were also some lucky winners of the Ireland Only Raffle.

They managed to scoop up a handy €5,000.

The winning raffle tickets were:

Romeo Beckham, 22, channels dad David’s infamous haircut in photoshoot for Interview Magazine

ROMEO BECKHAM copied his dad’s infamous haircut for his latest photoshoot.

David Beckham, 49, had his fair share of different trims over the years.

Dad David Beckham famously sported the look in the early 2000s[/caption]

But arguably his most memorable look was back in the early noughties.

That was when Becks opted for the iconic mohawk – with the sides of his head shaved and the strip of locks down the middle.

The ex-Manchester United hero initially opted for the look ahead of the 2000 Charity Shield at Wembley – but it didn’t last long.

Beckham had kept it secret by wearing a hat in training, at the team hotel and on the coach to the stadium but as soon as Sir Alex Ferguson saw it, he ordered the winger to shave his head immediately.

The footballer did bring it back – this time on the safety international duty with England.

And now his second son Romeo has followed in his old man’s footsteps by replicating the hairstyle.

Beckham Jr, 22, got in front of the camera for a modelling shoot with Interview Magazine.

And in one of the pics he is even giving himself the haircut while topless and his right wrist strapped up in a bandage.

The mohawk section is shorter and wider than his dad’s version – but the resemblance is clear to see.

In the other photos, Romeo is sticking his tongue out topless showing off his tattooos, lying on a bed both topless and fully clothed and standing beside a row of bicycles in jeans, a hooded zip-up and a black coat.

Romeo also looked the part in a trench coat with his bare legs revealing more of his inkings.

Beckham Jr looked set to try and follow his dad into football, too.

He started out in the Arsenal academy then had stints with Inter Miami and then Brentford but left the Bees in 2024.

Divorced dad-of-7 & RnB superstar adds FOURTH wife to growing harem – boasting he’ll date as many women as he can afford

AFTER coming out as polyamorous last year, global RnB megastar Ne-Yo has revealed he’s added another ‘wife’ to his growing group of partners.

The divorced dad-of-seven is already dating OnlyFans stars Bella and Phoenix Feather and party girl Arielle Hill.

He’s now added successful choreographer Brionna Williams to his growing harem.

Despite the superstar artist, famous for smash hits like ‘Closer’, ‘Give Me Everything’ and ‘Miss Independent’, not being legally married, he fondly labels his female companions his ‘wives’.

Brionna went public with their relationship on Instagram last year, posting a romantic New Years Eve pic with her singer songwriter lover.

Well-respected in the world of dance, Brionna has worked with famous performers like Ciara and Iggy Azalea.

But it appears she’s yet to be given the same respect by Ne-Yo’s other ‘wives’, who have snubbed her from their Instagram bios.

Bella, Pheonix and Arielle have all namedropped eachother on their pages, confirming their joint relationship status with the ‘So Sick’ singer.

But they’re yet to include latest addition Brionna online – and she hasn’t even been featured in a snap on any of their accounts.

“To make matters worse, the original three spent Valentine’s Day with Ne-Yo without Brionna,” writes Mail Online.

Ne-Yo revealed his polyamorous lifestyle last year.

In an interview with TMZ, he said: “Legalising polygamy? I didn’t know it was illegal. You should let people do whatever the hell they want to do. Can’t see how it’s hurting anybody.”

“To be honest, I don’t need the government to tell me what I can and can’t do in my personal life.”

He later boasted to TMZ that there was “no cap” to how many girlfriends he could take on, boasting to be open to having “as many as you can afford.”

Who is Ne-Yo?

Ne-Yo is known for his sexually charged songs but has also been featured in several rap, Latin, and EDM songs.

In 2021, the R&B singer was revealed to be Badger on the second season of the UK’s The Masked Singer.

He is also the penman behind huge hits such as Mario’s Let Me Love You, Beyoncé’s Irreplaceable, and a number of songs for Rihanna.

Ne-Yo’s relationship history

Ne-Yo previously legally married TV personality Crystal Renay in 2016, before the couple called it quits and divorced in 2023.

They share three kids – Shaffer Chimere Jr, Roman Alexander-Raj Smith, and Isabella Rose.

The singer is also father to four other children he has with ex-girlfriends Sade Bagnerise and Monyetta Shaw.

Monyetta and Ne-Yo nearly made it down the aisle, but in 2013 their relationship ended abruptly two months before their wedding.

What is polyamory?

Polyamory is the practice of having romantic relationships with more than one person at the same time, with the knowledge and consent of all parties.

It can refer to relationships where one person has multiple partners or spouses, or where all parties are in a relationship with each other, for example in a throuple.

According to You Gov, 6.8% of people in the UK have been in a polyamorous relationship.

Primark opening new type of store for ‘first time ever’ – but shoppers will be able to find only one type of item

PRIMARK shoppers’ “dreams have come true” as the retailer prepares to open a brand new type of store that will be the first of its kind.

The new store will open in Belfast city centre next month, giving the city two Primark stores.

Primark has called it a “big moment” for the brand (stock)[/caption]

But this one will be different, selling just home decor.

The retailer announced that its “first ever” standalone Primark Home store will open on March 6 at 10am in what it says is a “big moment” for the company.

Fintan Costello, Head of Primark Ireland and Northern Ireland, said: “This is a big moment for the Primark brand and a big moment for Belfast too as we finally announce the opening date of our first-ever standalone Primark Home store.

“Primark and Belfast have a storied history and we’re incredibly proud the city will be the first in the world to experience this exciting new retail concept.

“We can’t wait to welcome customers through our doors on 6th March.”

It will be located at Fountain House, just over 100 yards away from the Bank Buildings store but without the same clothes and accessories.

A spokesperson said: “Keeping up with the latest homeware trends and must-have interiors, Primark Home combines style, comfort and value to help shoppers make a house a home, from high-quality essentials like cotton bedding and towels to on-trend soft furnishings, decorative pieces, small furniture and unique, quirky kitchen ceramics that will elevate any space.

“While Primark Home Donegall Place will bring a brand-new shopping experience to the city, the much-loved Bank Buildings store remains a key destination for Primark fans in Belfast.”

As excited shoppers flock to the Home store, changes will also be made to the flagship location to make sure people continue to visit.

These changes include the children’s section doubling in size and an expanded menswear department with its own area on the top floor.

“These updates reflect Primark’s continued commitment to delivering the very best shopping experience across both Belfast locations,” the spokesperson added.

After hearing the news, overjoyed shoppers took to Facebook to share their thoughts.

One tagged her friend and said: “Our dreams come true.”

“Definitely need a trip,” another told her friend in the comments.

Why Primark is great for looking expensive on a budget

By Clemmie Feildsend, Fabulous Fashion Editor

AS someone who’s no stranger to grabbing a last-minute outfit from Primark for a night out, it’s about time that celebrities started catching on too.

For as long as I’ve been heading out, Primark has been my go-to for those “I have nothing to wear” moments, rushing in at the last minute to find something perfect.

And I’m definitely not alone – on any Friday or Saturday night, you’ll find plenty of shoppers doing the same thing, right before closing time.

But no matter what, Primark always delivers.

Now, Rita Ora is leading the charge, showing that you can snag a designer-worthy look without spending a fortune at high-end stores.

While Rita’s not rushing in last minute for a red carpet outfit, she’s proving you can achieve the same high-impact style for much less.

Looking stunning in her tailored suit alongside her mum Vera, Rita fit right in among the other A-listers dripping in Prada, Dior, and Victoria Beckham – if anything, she looked even better than some of the guests at The Fashion Awards.

With Myleene Klass and Roxy Horner already jumping on the Primark bandwagon, I’m sure more stars will be following suit soon enough.

“You’ll never have money again,” a third wrote.

Others called it “dangerous” saying they “like the sound of it.”

But, some have pointed out a logistical issue with the new store for shoppers who have indulged in the offerings from Primark Home.

“Car parking is so expensive in the centre and this area is not easily accessible,” one said.

“People will have to restrict their purchases to what they can carry on public Transport.”

Another said: “Quick question, how are we expected to carry the Primark Home stuff out?

“Are we expected to carry them? Do they help? Do they allow you to bring your car around?”

No comments have been made by the company regarding this issue.

Others included Crap I Made In My Shed Ltd and Bum’s Unemployment Ltd, Get Your Sh1t Together Ltd, Big Dick Properties Ltd and Fart Ltd.

A business source said: “It’s amazing the names people think they can get away with.

“A lot have amusing puns but these examples are people who have taken it too far and veered into obscenity. It’s not surprising they’ve been blocked.”

A Freedom of Information request by The Sun to Companies House revealed that other rejected names included Wild At Tart Ltd, Stiffy Ltd, Titi Construct Ltd, Spank The Bored Monkey Ltd and See You Next Tuesday Ltd.

Many of the banned titles give little clue to the firm’s purpose — such as Trumpoop Ltd, The Violent Sibling Ltd, and Moron Ltd.

Names linked to drugs were also stopped including Opium Cafes Ltd, LSD International Ltd, MDMA Traders Ltd, Hash.

UK Money Exchange Ltd, Mr Weed Ltd and The Ketamine Clinic Ltd.

Officials additionally halted bids to register names with offensive references to homosexuality.

Companies House said: “Anyone setting up a company must choose an appropriate name. We will reject names that have the potential to offend or if registered, could commit an offence.”

talkSPORT presenter opens up on 50-yard Premier League ‘clearance-goal’ after being forced out of Chelsea

JASON CUNDY turns the clock back to 1992 and the first month of the all-new Premier League.

The 55-year-old former defender, who now works for talkSPORT co-presenting the Sports Bar with Jamie O’Hara, reflects on his freak ‘clearance’ goal from 50 yards to give Tottenham the lead at Ipswich.

Talk Sport New Season Campaign 2020/21 Jason Cundy and Andy Goldstein Pic Richard Pelham
Cundy is now a presenter on talkSPORT

I would love to tell you I looked up, spotted Ipswich keeper Craig Forrest off his line, measured my shot from 50 yards and the ball flew in just as I had planned.

But here’s the TRUTH of what really happened 33 years ago.

I was just inside Ipswich’s half and the ball was played into a space which I thought was going to end up being a 50-50 challenge between myself and Jason Dozzell.

My thought process was that I wanted to make sure I got to the ball as quick as possible to avoid there being any sort of contact between the two of us.

What played out was Jason didn’t make the expected challenge by which time I was fully committed.

My proposed tackle ended up being a completely freakish clearance  that ballooned in the wind and sailed over the top of a flailing Forrest in the Ipswich goal.

As a defender, I didn’t score that many goals in my career — in fact this was my only one for Tottenham.

But because it’s completely niche, this one resurfaces whenever a collection of madcap Premier League goals are replayed.

CASINO SPECIAL – BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS

It’s also odd how 30 or more years can blur certain moments . . . and facts too.

It wasn’t until I looked back at this game to see that Tottenham were bottom of the table going into this game in the all-new Premier League.

And that this draw took us off the foot of the league.

It took me by complete surprise because I had no recollection that we had started so slowly.

I had joined Tottenham in March, 1992 back in the days when the ‘transfer window’ went on until March.

The move came completely out of nowhere.

Manager Ian Porterfield called me in and told me Chelsea had accepted an offer from Tottenham.

I wasn’t happy with the way it was  a ‘done deal’ and no one had even talked to me.

But back then, if I had decided to turn it down I could have quite literally been thrown into the reserves and never played in the first  team again.

I heard again from Porterfield shortly after that a meeting had been set up with Tottenham’s Terry Venables. And that was it.

It was odd because Peter Shreeves was manager when I joined Tottenham with Terry taking training.

Then we started 1992-93  with Doug Livermore and Ray Clemence in charge.

Sadly, despite spending four years at White Hart Lane — with a couple of loan spells at Crystal Palace and Bristol City — my time at the club was blighted with injuries.

By pure coincidence I ended up switching from Spurs to Ipswich in 1996 and so was back at the ground of this bizarre goal moment.

It also meant that one of my new team-mates was Forrest — the unfortunate keeper who conceded my crazy goal.

I have to say even before we became good friends I had so much sympathy for him for having to watch those endless repeats of the goal.

It’s crazy to think that he played for 17 years, made 56 appearances for his country —  yet most people only remember him for either my strike or conceding nine at Manchester United in the Premier League!

I tested supermarkets’ Black Forest Gateaux  – delicious £1.75 winner was perfect balance of rich cake & plump cherries

IT was the Seventies dinner party dessert of choice – and now the retro Black Forest gateau is back.

Sales of the classic chocolate sponge, Morello cherry and whipped cream pudding are booming, with Waitrose reporting a 134 per cent increase compared to last year.

Laura Stott tested out the supermarkets’ Black Forest gateaux, with sales on the rise across the UK
Damien McFadden

Marks & Spencers giant offering will serve at least nine people
Damien McFadden

But which slices are stuck in the past, and which are the cherry on the top? Here, Laura Stott rates a selection.

M&S: Black Forest Iced Gateau

  • 990g, £15
  • 4/5

OK, at this price it is unlikely you will be picking it up as a midweek dessert or as a standby for the freezer.

But if you want something that looks spectacular for a special occasion, then this giant offering will serve at least nine people and is really extremely tasty.

It takes all the 1970s flavours and poshes them up into a properly luxurious pud.

Cocoa-rich, intense chocolate is blended with silky mascarpone cheese custard cream and squished with springy chocolate sponge and scrummy sour and sweet cherry sauce.

On top there is a thick layer of chocolate ganache and a crunchy tempered chocolate plaque. Delicious.

Morrison's Black Forest Gateau box.
Morrisons version offers poor value for money and does not stand out
Damien McFadden

Morrisons: Black Forest Gateau

  • 375g, £2.50
  • 1/5

PRICEY for the size, but the flavours are in place and pleasant, although I couldn’t really fathom why the cost was so much higher.

All the Black Forest tastes are there with agreeable Morello cherries, a creamy mousse and dark chocolate flakes, but there is nothing that makes a slice of this gateau stand out.

The cherries are definitely on the sweet side and there aren’t as many as I would have liked to see. The cream around the edge is extremely firm.

On the plus side, this makes it easy to slice. But however nice it is to eat, it looks a little mean on the table and I don’t think it offers good value for money.

Iceland: Black Forest Gateau

  • 375g, £2, Iceland
  • 3/5
Iceland Black Forest Gateau box.
Iceland’s option fits nicely in the freezer and looks the part too, with generous servings
Damien McFadden

PERFECT to keep in the freezer for when you want something that feels a bit special.

It is small enough to fit neatly in a cold draw, but once defrosted, there is plenty to go round as a family pud or something to serve when friends come over.

It looks very pretty, with eight per cent shiny Morello cherries heaped up in the middle.

There is a generous amount of cream around the outside and tasty dark choc flakes sprinkled on top.

Underneath there’s chocolate sponge, a layer of creamy vanilla mousse, choc mousse swirls and sweet cherry sauce.

A bit dense maybe but at the very retro price of just £2 I’m not complaining too much.

Tesco: Black Forest Gateau

  • 630g, £3
  • 4/5
Tesco Black Forest Gateau box.
Tesco’s large gateau can serve eight, and the Morello cherries taste especially nice
Damien McFadden

THIS whopper, which you will find in the freezer aisle, provides enough dessert for eight people – or more if you don’t want a huge slice.

I really enjoyed the Morello cherries in the centre, which are a gorgeous, glossy, blood red hue and taste as good as they look, smothered in delicious – and just tart enough – cherry sauce.

The chocolate sponge is layered with cream mousse and cherry sauce.

Below is rather sweet but still yummy, and there is a good amount of dark chocolate flakes on top, although they are scattered rather patchily.

Very creamy and moreish, it is a guilty pleasure. Takes three hours to defrost.

Sainsbury’s: Black Forest Gateau

  • 375g, £1.75
  • 5/5
Sainsbury's Black Forest Gateau box.
Sainsbury’s gateau tastes a lot more exciting than it looks on the box
Damien McFadden

NOT keen on cherries and chocolate? This could be the cake to change your mind.

From the outside, I wasn’t especially excited about tucking into this frozen dessert which comes in a boring purple box with a photo of a rather bland bit of gateau on the front. But what was inside more than exceeded my expectations.

Absolutely delicious Morello cherries, which are plump, juicy and really taste fruity, tart and sweet all together in perfect balance.

A light but rich chocolate sponge cake is layered with tasty vanilla cream mousse and cherry sauce. The flakes are excellent quality. It’s low cost, too.

Asda: Black Forest Gateau

  • 620g, £3
  • 3/5
ASDA Black Forest Gateau box.
Asda’s gateau offers good value for money but there were some drawbacks
Damien McFadden

A FROZEN pud that is perfect for feeding hungry mouths after your main course, without spending a fortune.

This offering will satisfy at least eight people. It came out of the box looking a bit squashed though, which somewhat ruined its showstopper appearance.

And although there was lots of whipped cream around the edge, it was rather flat. It did taste nice but all the whole Morello cherries in the middle had sunk inwards.

I also found the sponge rather firm, and there wasn’t much dark choc on top either. Tastes good, but not the prettiest out there.

Aldi: Black Forest Gateau

  • 375g, £1.75
  • 4/5
Black Forest Gateau box.
Aldi’s gateau tastes a little more like eating an ice cream, but is still enjoyable
Damien McFadden

A SMALL but perfectly formed gateau that is ideal for keeping in the freezer for when you want an emergency pudding everyone is guaranteed to enjoy.

It is packed with all the nostalgic tastes you’d want, with tart Morello cherries, dark cocoa-flavoured sponge and a layer of vanilla cream through the middle. I did find the amount of cherry sauce on top a bit stingy and the fruits themselves were also on the small side.

But there are plenty of dark chocolate nibs sprinkled over the top, which taste yummy and give good textural crunch.

The vanilla cream does make it feel a bit more like eating an ice cream than a gateau, but the flavours are still enjoyable.

Ocado: Gu Cheesecake

  • 2 x 88g, £2.50
  • 3/5
Box of Gü Black Forest Cheesecakes.
Ocado’s Gu Cheesecake offers smaller portions, a different way to serve or make it last
Supplied

IF you want all the flavours but don’t have lots of mouths to feed or space in your freezer, these mini individual pots are the perfect solution.

Unlike most of the bigger offerings, they also give you a boozy hit as, like the classic retro recipe, they contain the black cherry liqueur kirsch, which is derived from brandy.

The cherry compote is dense with sour and tart fruity flavours. There is a rich and decadent dark chocolate mouse and biscuit crumb.

A grown-up deconstructed gateaux that is ideal as part of a romantic meal for two – or just for whenever you fancy a spoonful to yourself and don’t want to share!

Dancing On Ice fix row as fans hit out at judges for showing ‘favouritism’ – and fume celeb is ‘overmarked’ weekly

DANCING On Ice fans have hit out at the judges for appearing to show favouritism towards one celebrity.

Viewers are convinced that The Only Way Is Essex star Dan Edgar has been receiving preferential treatment, which has propelled him to the top of the leadboard.

Dan and his pro partner Vanessa James have been topping the leader board[/caption]

The 34-year-old and his pro partner – Vanessa James – have impressed Christopher Dean, Jayne Torvill, Ashley Banjo and Oti Mabuse week after week.

But those watching at home aren’t quite so impressed.

One person commented: “Dan is the judges favourite even tho his staking and performance are boring because Vanessa just twirls around him.”

A second remarked: “Don’t vote for Dan, he is overmarked. He’s clearly judges favourite for final.”

While a third added: “Of course they were going to give the points to Dan’s team cos hes their favourite.”

And a fourth speculated: “Why do they want Dan to win so bad may I ask? They know Michaela is favourite to win and they’re doing everything to tear her down like they’ve done to every other female celeb that’s been on this show.

Last weekend Dan topped the leaderboard with his George Michael-themed routine to Faith, which landed him 38 points.

The week before he again secured a score of 38 out of 40 – after taking on the dangerous headbanger move.

The TV star also performed lifts and a cartwheel launch during the routine to Lionheart (Fearless) by Joel Corry and Tom Grennan.

Oti praised the performance as “unbelievable” and said she was “so proud” of Edgar.

Despite a small stumble at the beginning, Christopher Dean said the routine had “everything”.

“It had the power, it had the steps, it had the creativity and you topped it off with a headbanger – the only question is now what do you do?” he added.
