I went to Thailand & decided to move here – rent is £408 with a pool & restaurants are so cheap I NEVER have to cook

A WOMAN has revealed her monthly expenses after ditching the UK to start a new chapter in Thailand.

Janelle Ciara visited the picturesque Southeast Asian country last Christmas – but the three-week trip has now been extended for a whole year after Janelle decided to sign a year contract for a new apartment in Thailand.

Explaining why, Janelle told TikTok users that she’s just one of those people ”that just do random as f**k s**t” – and the unexpected move to Thailand was one of them.

”I hadn’t taken a risk for a while, I haven’t done anything crazy for a while, so this is what I’ve done,” she chuckled.

”I actually came to Thailand in 2023 and I stayed here for about three months and I absolutely loved it. But then I went back home.

”This time, I landed on Christmas Day and I was like ‘Why am I going back home?’,” said the ”digital nomad” who works as a content creator.

After falling in love with the ”amazing energy” Thailand offers, Janelle had a quick look on Facebook Marketplace – where she soon found a stunning apartment.

According to the blonde stunner, she pays around £408 every month to cover the rent – which is almost £600 less than she would have to fork out for a place in her city in the UK.

The gorgeous one-bedroom flat is one of the many in a posh apartment complex which features a co-working space, an outdoor pool, as well as a beautiful garden.

”I just cannot believe how cheap it is,” the travelling fan told fellow social media users.

”You pay for your electric and water separately, but water is around £3 a month and electric, depending on how much aircon and stuff you use, I’m probably gonna be looking at around £40 a month.

”It is so cheap to live here – and this is literally one of the reasons why I’m going to be living in Thailand,” said Janelle who is currently based in Phuket.

Showing off her apartment in the sunny country, Janelle said that the security outside the complex ”is high” – and if your name is not on the list, you will not be permitted entrance.

Once inside, residents can use the stunning co-working space which comes with free Wi-Fi, as well as massage chairs that are free to use when you fancy to relax a bit.

”It does get really busy here because I feel like everyone is working online now,” said Janelle who added the space also features a free coffee machine for that energy boost.

The complex also boasts an onsite gym – but although it is rather small, the equipment is more than perfect for cardio bunnies.

”As I said, security is really tight. I cannot get onto any other floor other than the floor that I live on with my keycard,” she told TikTok viewers in a recent video.

How easy is it to move abroad?

Brexit means British citizens now have to apply for visas to move to countries within the EU. While some countries residency restrictions are easier than others, here's what you need to do at home before moving:

  • Notify HMRC about your upcoming move.
  • Let your local authority know and provide a forwarding address.
  • Contact your mortgage and utility providers and bank before leaving.
  • If you have paid enough UK national insurance contributions, you can qualify for a state pension abroad – contact the International Pension Centre.
  • You can sign up to the Royal Mail’s redirection service.
  • If you have outstanding student loans, contact the Student Loans Centre.
  • If you have children, give due notice to childcares and schools.

Sharing what her new apartment looked like, Janelle admitted that she did have to get used to it.

”Going from living in a three-bedroom, three-bathroom house to this tiny little apartment was definitely a culture shock.

”But in Thailand, I feel like unless you’ve got a villa, the spaces are really small.

”It is compact – but it does have everything you need. The tiny kitchen is never going to be used by me because in Thailand you literally eat out all the time.

”It is so cheap to eat out – why would you cook?”

‘I’m outta here’

Janelle’s video has clearly inspired many to chase their dreams and leave the UK for a cheaper live elsewhere.

One viewer revealed their epic plans, writing: ”Can relate. 4 weeks on Cyprus at Christmas. Sorting my visa and accommodation. I’m outta here.”

”This is what you call living life,” another wrote.

Someone else chimed in: ”Did the same thing as you, but with Barcelona. A year later and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. Hope you have an incredible time.”

Simple, free everyday activities can boost your child’s learning and help their brains develop

Father and toddler playing with toys on a couch.

OUR little ones light up our worlds, but in the hustle and bustle of everyday life it’s easy to wonder what more we could be doing to help them as they grow.

The brilliant news is that just by chatting to them, having fun and getting them to see everyday wonder in what’s going on around them, you’ve got this nailed.

Woman reading a book about animals to a baby.
The Start for Life website is full of useful inspiration

From waking up until bedtime, talking about what you’re doing and what you can both see, and asking them questions (even when all you’ll get back is a gurgle!), can turbo-boost their learning and give them the best start in life.

None of this needs any special skills – and it’s all free!

Little moments together

Rainy day? Pretend the sofa is a ship setting sail for adventures, loaded up with wild animals (well, cuddly toys).

Going to the shops? Spot fun things out of the bus window, make chugging engine noises or call out different colours as you walk around.

Even when you’re just so tired that all you can do is snuggle and sing your favourite Taylor Swift song to them, it all counts.

Simply set aside all outside distractions, tune in to your baby and be yourself!

Brilliantly, there’s a really helpful Start for Life website full of useful inspiration to get you started, but you’ll soon find that making the most of everyday activities comes naturally to you.

Here are just a few examples to show you how easy it is to enjoy little moments together…

A mother and her baby sitting on a couch.
Babies love attention – playing peek-a-boo for a few minutes means a lot

Six to twelve months

Long before your baby can speak, they’re soaking up everything around them. In fact, even playing peek-a-boo for a few minutes means a lot.

They’re just like us – they love attention!

Try this: make bath time brilliant

As you’re gently washing your baby, tell them what part of their body you’re washing.

When they’re splashing, say “Splish, splash, splosh” in different, fun voices.

Keep some waterproof toys close by and name the toys as your baby plays with them – “Yellow duck is wet” or “Duck says quack”.

Encourage your baby to play with you by taking turns – splash the water and wait to see if they copy you.

If they don’t, that’s okay — they’re still having fun playing with you and hearing new words!

Chatting encourages toddlers to form their first words

One to two years

As your child starts to toddle, their world gets bigger but they still need you to show them the ropes.

Chatting encourages first words and little sentences, and helps them make friends of their own.

Try this: fun at teatime

Talk about what you’re doing while you’re cooking or eating to introduce new words.

It’s a great way to stay connected even if you need to concentrate on chopping and stirring, and you can get them to use all their senses.

See: “Look, these grapes are green.”

Taste: “This yoghurt is sweet.”

Feel: “This banana is squishy.”

Smell: “Mmm, that curry smells delicious!”

Hear: “Listen to these cornflakes – crunch, crunch, crunch!”

Find more easy everyday activities here

A father and son playing with building blocks and a toy barn.
You can add counting games to activities such as getting dressed

Two to three years

As first words become two or three words strung together, ask your toddler what they’re doing and what they can see, and make time to listen to their replies.

Add counting games and colour words to everyday activities like putting on clothes (“blue trousers”, “two socks”, “one, two, three, four buttons…”) to get that vocabulary really growing.

Try this: “on safari” at the park

Zone in to what your toddler is most interested in or curious about and make that something to talk about.

For example, if they notice a bird and say, “Bird,” you can build on that, saying, “Yes! The little bird is flying” or “The bird is singing”.

This helps them hear new words and learn how they fit together in sentences.

Then you can start to talk about different kinds of birds – how many can they spot?

Boost storytime by acting out parts of the book together

Three to five years

Even as your child starts to say longer sentences and understands more of the world around them, there are still so many great new skills for them to master and ways to make the most of little moments together.

Try this: make storytime super

Next time you read a story, choose a book they know well and try acting out parts of it together.

For example, if the book talks about a tree, you could both pretend to be a tree, by waving your arms and fingers like branches and leaves in the wind.

Set the scene – make sounds like the wind, or birds in the tree, or rain falling.

You could even choose music you both like that might go with the story.

See if your child can help by filling in parts of the story and telling you what happens next, or ask them to imagine different endings of their own.

Max George fans beg star for answers as they’re left in limbo over tour shows

FANS of Max George are begging the star for answers as they’re left in limbo over The Wanted 2.0’s tour shows.

The Wanted star Max, 36, was admitted to A&E last December and had heart surgery and a pacemaker fitted after doctors discovered a heart block, which caused his heart to beat abnormally.

Max is due to perform on stage next week[/caption]

And he recently revealed he had to undergo a secret second heart operation after his pacemaker wires were inserted too deeply.

Fans are now sharing their concern for the star as The Wanted 2.0’s tour dates loom closer.

Max is still hoping to perform with The Wanted 2.0 co-star Siva Kaneswaran later this year, with one of his shows due to take place in a little over a week.

The Wanted 2.0 comprise of Max and Siva, with the duo due to perform at Manchester Cathedral next Thursday.

On February 27, The Wanted 2.0 are due to perform exclusively as part of the Echoes 2025 series.

And now fans are sharing their concern that they think the show could be cancelled amid Max’s ongoing health woes.

One fan took to X this week to share their fear that the show might be cancelled last minute.

FANS SHARE CONCERN

“Of course Max’s health is absolutely paramount, the fan penned, “that goes without saying.”

“But there needs to be an announcement made about this gig at Manchester cathedral,” the fan added.

They concluded: “It’s meant to be next week… They need to cancel/postpone it and let the fans know.”

The fan then replied to someone else a while later and said: “We’ve got tickets but I think it’s pretty obvious it won’t be going ahead.”

The Sun has reached out to Max’s manager for comment.

Speaking to The Sun on Sunday recently, Max opened up about his health and scary second operation.

“I was trying to get back to good health but was still having a flickering sensation for weeks after I had my pacemaker fitted and it was gradually getting worse and worse.

“When my heart rate went up, it was causing a shock in my heart which was making me jump all the time.

SECOND OPERATION

“My chest was shaking,” he added.

After several visits to the hospital, it was only when a representative from Max’s pacemaker company Medtronic was visiting the ward by chance, that they were able to get to the bottom of his discomfort.

He was booked in for his second operation straight away, on January 15, but was warned that the rare situation could cause a dangerous bleed on his heart.

He said: “The night before, I was really nervous, I didn’t sleep much.

“I was worried it could go wrong again and felt anxious that it could bleed out.”

But the operation went well and he was “pleased it had gone successfully”.

HEALTH UPDATE

And just 13 hours ago he shared an update on Instagram.

“A few weeks ago I had to go back into hospital after having some physical symptoms in my chest. It turned out that one of the leads was placed too far into my heart,” he said.

“The second surgery took about 2 hours. Luckily, it was a success and they kindly let me listen to Oasis the whole time,” Max went on.

He added: “It’s been a setback, but it’s just one of those things. I’ve had a few complications the last couple of months but I’m having loads of tests to make sure everything is all good.

“It could take a few weeks / months for the inflammation of my heart to subside, but I’m sure I’ll be back on top form in no time!

“Thanks everyone for all your lovely messages and support through what’s been a pretty rough time. Means a lot.”

I’m a mum-of-four & trolls say my house is so filthy my kids should be taken away – they gasp when they see the loo

KEEPING the house tidy with children running about isn’t an easy task, but one mum has been slammed for the state of her house.

Mum-of-four, Amanda, took to social media to hit back at the trolls who called Child Protection Services on her because of how filthy her house was.

People were left stunned by the state of her home but she said it was just her reality[/caption]

“And no she does NOT want to take the kids from me as long as we keep it up… which we are… case closed 14th of next month. Just wanna say good try haters but I was already fixing it,” she captioned the clip.

The mum then took viewers around her house to show what it looked like.

She started by opening the front door which was covered in black marks and made her way into the kitchen.

The kitchen floors looked filthy and many of the cupboard doors were missing as a pile of washing up was stacked by the sink.

“Here is exactly what my house looked like when the CPS lady walked in yesterday,” she explained.

“Minus the loaded dishes, because we did a load of dishes before she got here.

“So to some of you, I get that it’s not perfect. I know a lot of people are expecting me to live in some magazine home, and that’s just not reality.”

She said the agent didn’t care that her carpets were covered in dirt, dust, or fazed by the crayon on the wall.

“The meeting went so, so incredibly well,” Amanda added.

Amanda then made her way to the bathroom, which she admitted wasn’t the best.

The white walls were covered in marks along with the floor and the toilet bowl was covered in dark rings from hard water that hadn’t been cleaned in months.

The mum admitted: “I had my husband clean the bathroom, and that was a mistake because he did not do the toilet very well.

“So I am gonna have to come back in there.”

Amanda revealed the agent planned to come back in the next month to ensure she kept on top of the cleaning.

“She’s gonna come back randomly in the next four weeks and make sure that we’re staying on top of it.

“But other than that, it went really, really well.”

Cleaning hacks and tips

Here are some tips to help you clean your home like a pro:

Public Reaction

The clip was shared on her TikTok account @demandaconda333 and has since gone viral with over 4.9 million views and 163k likes.

People were left stunned by Amanda’s home with many left ‘gasping’ at the sight of her bathroom.

One person wrote: “The gasp I gasped when I saw the bathroom!!!??”

Another commented: “This is so so incredibly sad these kids should not have to live like this.”

“How does a toilet actually get like that I’m traumatised,” penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: “No one expects a magazine home? Just a basic sanitary environment.”

“I’m sorry, I don’t want to be rude, but that’s just gross,” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: “That toilet… I cannot. I literally gasped.”

Emmerdale ‘gives away’ who died in the lake with huge clue – did you spot it?

EMMERDALE fans reckon they’ve cracked who dies in the ITV soap’s brutal limo crash – after one ‘giveaway’ sign.

Viewers were left gripped on Monday night when a party limo filled with beloved regulars was sent plunging into an icy lake – leaving multiple lives in the balance.

A tell-tale bracelet left fans convinced they know who the body is[/caption]

Charity Dingle, Chas Dingle and Liam Cavanagh were left sinking in the limo, alongside Leyla Harding, Amy Barton, Kerry Wyatt, Tracy Robinson, Vanessa Woodfield and Suzy Merton.

WARNING: SPOILERS AND POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD.

It’s already been confirmed more than one character will meet their demise as a result of the accident – with one confirmed death already airing.

As the group regained consciousness, they scrambled to get everyone to safety – but one character was already too far gone.

It was confirmed Suzy died on site, leaving the others devastated as they feared for their own lives as the limo slowly sunk underneath the ice.

Getting out before it was too late, things went from bad to worse when, while navigating the thin ice to solid ground, Amy plunged into the water below.

Struggling to break through the ice, she fought for air – only to be met with a chilling sight of a dead body beneath the surface.

Fans are convinced that one giveaway sign – a bracelet – revealed the body to be Nate Robinson.

Taking to Reddit, one eagle-eyed fan shared screengrabs from the horrific scenes, showing the corpse’s hand with the bracelet clearly shown.

Other grabs revealed Nate to be wearing the same bracelet that daughter Frankie had previously made him.

Nate hasn’t been seen in the Dales since September last year, with his sudden and swift exit never quite sitting right with fans.

Since leaving the village, supposedly for Shetland, he has had little to no contact with his loved ones, only sending text messages.

He was last seen speaking to John Sugden, after being falsely accused of sleeping with Cain Dingle’s wife, Moira.

The truth will be revealed in the upcoming episodes – is there a new killer in the midst of Emmerdale?

I gave my 12-year-old daughter her own apartment – I never do her laundry but I DO clean it while she’s at school

A WOMAN who built her 12-year-old daughter her own apartment revealed that she often cleans it for her.

While she is encouraging her pre-teen to be independent, the mum-of-three explained that she “enjoys” tidying up the space.

TikTok user Audrey Barton explained why she cleans her pre-teen daughter’s apartment[/caption]

In her viral video, TikTok user Audrey Barton (@organizedchaos4) took her followers along as she straightened up the apartment.

She revealed that she tidies the place “once every two months” while her daughter takes care of the “day-to-day maintenance”.

Audrey explained that the “apartment” is located on the upper floor of the family’s garage.

The build cost the couple around £20,000 and comes complete with a bathroom, kitchenette, and its own heating and cooling system.

While the mum has previously defended her decision to give her daughter such independence, she also shared why she doesn’t mind helping clean the space.

“My daughter does deserve my help, she keeps it clean 80% of the time, I’m just coming in once in a while to help make sure everything is where it’s supposed to be,” Audrey said.

She added that her love language is carrying out acts of service, explaining that she “enjoys” helping out.

The TikToker said that her daughter is “grateful” for her help and said coming home from school to a tidy space is “one of her favourite things”.

And while she is more than happy to help out, the mum revealed that there is one chore she refuses to do for her pre-teen.

Audrey revealed that she never does her 12-year-old daughter’s laundry for her.

“I feel like it’s really important she learns any clothes she wears, she needs to be responsible for,” she explained.

She pointed out that this helps prevent her for “willy nilly throwing things out of her closet”.

Audrey told her audience that this is another way she teaches her child to be independent.

TikTok users shared their thoughts on the set-up in the comments section.

“The [apartment] had some messes with clutter but the space was clean. She’s definitely learning to take care of it well,” wrote one viewer.

Different parenting techniques

Here are some widely recognised methods:

Authoritative Parenting
This technique will often foster independence, self-discipline, and high self-esteem in children.
It is often considered the most effective, this technique is where parents set clear expectations – enforcing rules – whilst also showing warmth and support.

Authoritarian Parenting
This is opposite to authoritative parenting, as it is where the parent sets high demands but is low on responsiveness.
It involves ensuring the child is obedient and often employ punitive measures. While this can lead to disciplined behaviour, it may also result in lower self-esteem and social skills in children.

Permissive Parenting
Permissive parents tend to be indulgent and lenient, often taking on a role more akin to a friend than an authority figure. They are highly responsive but lack demandingness, granting children a lot of freedom. This method can nurture creativity and a free-spirited nature but may also result in poor self-regulation and difficulties with authority.

Uninvolved Parenting
Uninvolved or neglectful parenting is marked by low responsiveness and low demands. Parents in this category offer minimal guidance, nurturing, or attention. This often leaves children feeling neglected, which can have significant negative effects on their emotional and social development.

Helicopter Parenting
Helicopter parents are extremely involved and overprotective, frequently micromanaging their children’s lives. Although their goal is to protect and support, this approach can hinder a child’s ability to develop independence and problem-solving skills.

Free-Range Parenting
Free-range parenting encourages children to explore and learn from their surroundings with minimal parental interference. This method promotes independence and resilience but requires a safe and supportive environment to be successful.

Attachment Parenting
According to Marriage.com, Attachment parenting focuses on physical closeness and emotional bonding, often through practices such as co-sleeping and baby-wearing. This approach aims to create secure attachments and emotional well-being, but demands significant time and emotional commitment from parents.
Each of these parenting techniques has its own set of strengths and weaknesses. The key is to find a balanced approach that aligns with the family’s values and meets the child’s needs for a healthy, happy upbringing.

“Her room is so well kept,” agreed another impressed follower.

“That’s amazing. And you can tell she cleans,” commented a third person.

“As a child growing up in a family who did no cleaning, well done for teaching those life skills whilst still having her back,” said another TikTok user.

“As someone whose mother did everything for her and had to do her first load of laundry at 28, you’re blessing her!” wrote one commenter.

“You can tell she actually cleans. I’m an adult and my space is messier than that. You’re doing great!!” said another viewer.

I’m the Queen of Aesthetics – people think a popular treatment saves wrinkly under-eyes but it leaves you with ‘slugs’

A BEAUTY pro has revealed the popular treatment she would never recommend.

So if you’ve got wrinkly under-eyes and are considering tweakments, you’ve come to the right place and will need to listen up and take notes.

Even Kylie Jenner is reported to have had tear trough filler, but Sophia wouldn’t recommended it[/caption]

On a recent podcast, this beauty pro shared what she would recommend instead
instagram/sophiabaileyaesthetics

According to Sophia Bailey, who has been described as the ‘Queen of Aesthetics’, tear trough filler – a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that injects hyaluronic acid into the under-eye area to reduce the appearance of dark circles, hollows, and wrinkles – is not the answer.

Revealing all on a recent episode of the Nip, Tuck, Not Giving A… podcast, Sophia was met with hosts Ashley Stobart and Lauren Harris, where she got candid on why she wouldn’t recommend tear trough filler.

When it comes to battling “hollowness, wrinkles and dryness”, Sophia revealed why tear trough filler is not the solution, as she explained: “So tear trough filler basically, there’s not many fillers that are licensed to use under the eye.

“My personal opinion, if I was to use any, it would be Restylane.

“Restylane has light-reflecting pigments in it, now that’s all well and good, however, filler is hydrophilic which means it holds its own weight in water.”

Sophia recognised that whilst many beauty fans think they will be left with smooth under-eyes after tear trough filler, in fact, it can cause ‘blue slugs’.

She continued: “People get tear trough and come back four months later with blue slugs under their eyes.

“They get split bags, or they go heavy – Jennifer Aniston had them recently.”

Tear trough filler is a procedure loved by many celebs, including Geordie Shore’s Sophie Kasaei, Love Island’s Grace Jackson and reality TV star Kylie Jenner.

But whilst many celebrities swear by it, the popular procedure, which can last from six to 18 months, has been associated with side effects such as bruising, swelling and bumps under the eyes.

The beauty whizz also claimed that whilst some customers are “suitable” for the procedure, it’s important that people “find someone who specialises in it”.

According to this professional, choosing the right practitioner is essential, and beauty fans should opt for someone who does tear trough filler “day in and day out”.

It’s a very thin area of skin and it can cause a Tyndall effect where it looks blue

Sophia Bailey

As well as this, Sophia recognised: “A lot of people who obsess over their undereye, they have a high expectation that filler is going to get rid of it.

“It’s a very thin area of skin and it can cause a Tyndall effect where it looks blue.

“In my experience, whenever I’ve done it, my clients are never 100 per cent happy – and that’s a no from me.

“It’s not for me, I’m not messing around with that.”

Top beauty trends for 2025

Hayley Walker, Beauty Expert at Justmylook spoke exclusively to Fabulous about the big beauty trends for 2025.

Haircare

Hair gloss treatments are a must-have as beauty enthusiasts love the salon-quality shine and enhanced colour delivered by the trending treatment.

Hair glosses are multifunctional as they nourish the hair while offering a vibrant, healthy-looking finish, combining 2025’s core trends. This treatment is perfect for those seeking an affordable, at-home glow-up.

2025 will focus on skin repairing and texture-enhancing treatments.

Skincare

Rejuran treatment, a celebrity-endorsed procedure, will see a rise in demand this year as many seek to enhance the skin’s appearance. The procedure entails injecting polynucleotides derived from salmon DNA to enhance skin texture and elasticity. “Rejuvenation is expected to dominate 2025 skincare trends as many seek to a achieve flawless, youthful complexion.

Skincare routines will also include back-to-basic products for a simplified routine.

Ginseng cleansing oil and panthenol cream are among the trending products for 2025. The cleansing oil is excellent for dissolving makeup and impurities without clogging pores and is enriched with nourishing properties to leave the skin feeling and looking refreshed and radiant.

Makeup

Makeup trends will follow suit to achieve youthful and radiant looks. Under-eye brighteners will be sought-after products for delivering coverage while enhancing natural radiance. This beauty tool will complement natural beauty while improving and brightening dull skin.

Makeup looks will be bigger and bolder in 2025 with cluster lashes expected to surge this year. These lashes bring the glam to glamorous looks as they deliver dramatic volume to enhance everyday or special occasion looks.

Peel-off lip stains circulated the beauty industry in 2024 and are expected to dominate in 2025. The growing popularity of this product is due to its ability to provide long-lasting, transfer-proof colour to lips, enhancing a natural aesthetic. Additionally, cherry-coded aesthetics are expected to be everywhere this year as the deep, rich hue can be achieved using peel-off lip stains or bold lip looks for a dramatic effect.

Nails

2025 will be another year of countless, show-stopping nail trends. Goddess Nails and Aura Nails deserve an honourable mention as these designs channel an ethereal, celestial aesthetic for bold, self-expressing nails.

Instead of tear trough, Sophia acknowledged: “I do love Polynucleotides under the eyes, those are incredible. It’s salmon DNA, it’s derived actually from trout.

“You can do all these things to your skin – you can work on the muscle with Botox, you can have filler which fills, restores and plumps, and then you’ve got skin boosters and Polynucleotides.”

Not only this, but rather than aesthetics treatments, Sophia revealed the free hack that could help to reduce the appearance of under-eye wrinkles.

She simply questioned: “Look at your diet, are you drinking loads of water?”

“The reality is, we all sometimes indulge in unhealthy eating habits like processed foods, smoking cigarettes, drinking too much alcohol, inhaling city pollutants, and even drinking water from plastic bottles – none of this is good for us.

“All this does is promote the ageing process, but we all have the potential to change this.”

It may be hard, but try to keep away from sugary carbohydrates, because they feed chronic inflammation, which is one of the worst enemies of reversing ageing.

Now only will you end up putting on weight if you consume them regularly, but your energy and hormonal levels will be affected and this will influence how you look and feel.

Whatever your age or state of health, it’s never too late to reverse how quickly you are ageing and embrace the energy and vigour of a younger you.

Antioxidants, such as vitamins A, C, and E, are essential in neutralising free radicals—the culprits behind premature ageing.

Integrating a spectrum of colourful fruits and vegetables into your diet provides a potent source of antioxidants.

Omega-3 fatty acids, abundant in fatty fish like salmon and flaxseeds, are vital for maintaining skin elasticity and hydration.

Omega-3s act as nourishment for your skin, locking in moisture and diminishing fine lines and wrinkles.

Collagen, a structural protein dwindling with age, can be replenished through collagen-rich foods like bone broth and lean protein sources.

How Meghan Markle has spent £130K updating her Diana engagement ring THREE times – and the meaning behind each change

AS Meghan Markle prepares for her Netflix of With Love, Meghan, her engagement ring continues to captivate audiences with its evolving design.

The ring, which has undergone three significant transformations since its debut in 2017, and each change has come at a pivotal time.

The ring was originally worth an estimated £120,000 and features two diamonds from Princess Diana‘s collection and a central stone from Botswana.

Now it is worth a staggering £250,000 thanks to Meghan’s modifications.

Neil Dutta, Managing Director of engagement ring specialists Angelic Diamonds, told Fabulous: “These changes in Meghan’s ring are a beautiful reflection of her personal growth and evolving style.

“From the classic royal engagement ring to the modern, personalised piece it is today, each transformation tells a chapter of Meghan and Harry’s story.

“As Meghan steps into her new role with the upcoming Netflix series, her ring continues to be a sparkling symbol of her journey – past, present, and future.”

Here we look at the fascinating transformations of this iconic piece of jewellery – revealing the changes she’s made and what they could symbolise in her journey from actress to royal to global media personality…

With Love, Meghan – (2025)

Change: Emerald cut

The most recent iteration of Meghan’s engagement ring glimpsed in the Netflix trailer, showcases what appears to be an emerald-cut centre stone, according to Neil.

He shared: “This is a significant departure from the original cushion-cut diamond, reflecting a more contemporary aesthetic.

“Emerald-cut diamonds are known for their elegant, step-cut facets and elongated shape. This change could potentially increase the ring’s value to around £300,000 ($370,000). The new cut offers a sleeker, more modern look that aligns beautifully with Meghan’s evolving style and public persona.

“But what’s particularly interesting is how this change symbolises Meghan’s transformation from royal life to her current role in a myriad of things. The emerald cut is often associated with confidence and clarity – qualities Meghan may feel she has since leaving the royal family.”

Invictus Games – (2022)

Change: Diamond additions

Additional diamonds were added to the central stone setting in 2022 which likely doubled the value[/caption]

In 2022, we saw another subtle yet impactful change to Meghan’s ring.

Additional diamonds were added to the central stone setting, debuting at the Invictus Games in The Hague.

This enhancement likely boosted the ring’s value to approximately £250,000 ($310,000), according to Neil.

He added: “The additional diamonds serve to amplify the ring’s overall brilliance, drawing more attention to the centre stone.

“This could be seen as a metaphor for Meghan and Harry’s increased focus on their personal projects and charitable endeavours post-royal life.

“Interestingly, the Invictus Games hold special significance for the couple – it’s where they made their first public appearance together in 2017.

“The ring’s upgrade at this event seems to celebrate their journey together and their shared commitment to causes close to their hearts.”

Birth of Their First Son – (2019)

The 2019 redesign by celebrity jeweller Lorraine Schwartz marked a significant transformation, according to Neil.

He shared:. “The yellow gold band was replaced with a delicate micro-pavé diamond band, adding extra sparkle and a more contemporary feel to the ring.

“This change coincided with the couple’s first wedding anniversary and the birth of their son, Archie.

“To commemorate these milestones, an eternity ring was added to Meghan’s stack, featuring the birthstones of Meghan (peridot), Harry (emerald), and Archie (sapphire) on the underside.

“This thoughtful update, estimated at £260,000 ($320,000), beautifully blended personal symbolism with high-end craftsmanship.

“The addition of the pavé diamonds could be seen as representing the many facets of their new life together, while the hidden birthstones speak to the private, family-focused side of their relationship.”

A Royal Love Story – (2017)

Prince Harry designed the original bespoke three-stone piece with the help of Cleave & Company[/caption]

The original 2017 design, first seen during the couple’s engagement announcement, was a classic beauty with deep sentimental value.

Neil added: “It featured a 3-carat cushion-cut diamond from Botswana, a place close to the couple’s hearts, flanked by two diamonds from Princess Diana‘s collection.

“Set on a yellow gold band – Meghan’s favourite at the time – this initial design was valued at around £120,000 ($150,000).

“The use of Diana’s diamonds was a touching way to include Harry’s late mother in their journey, while the Botswana centre stone represented the couple’s shared love for Africa.

“The cushion-cut diamond, known for its pillow-like shape and rounded corners, offered a perfect blend of vintage charm and timeless elegance. This original design beautifully encapsulated the fairy-tale nature of their royal romance.”

How did Prince Harry propose?

The smitten royal popped the question with a stunning ring he designed himself using two diamonds belonging to his late mother, Princess Diana.

Prince Harry told the BBC: “It happened a few weeks ago, earlier this month, here at our cottage; just a standard typical night for us.”

Meghan then explained the couple were having a “cosy night in”, adding: “[We were] trying to roast a chicken and it just – just an amazing surprise, it was so sweet and natural and very romantic.

“He got on one knee.”

Harry revealed how they had “hugs” after the proposal and he handed over the ring.

Prince Harry said: “She didn’t even let me finish, she said ‘can I say yes, can I say yes’ and then were was hugs and I had the ring in my finger and I was like ‘can I – can I give you the ring?’ She goes – ‘oh yes the ring’.

“So no it was – it was a really nice moment, it was just the two of us and I think managed to catch – catch her by surprise as well.”

The Duke of Sussex had initially hoped to propose to Meghan in the far more exotic surroundings of Botswana, according to a documentary.

the 2019 Channel 5 documentary Meghan Markle: Movies, Marriage and Motherhood said this wasn’t what the duke had previously had on the cards.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl said: “I had actually been told by one of his friends that he had planned to pop the question in Botswana but for whatever reason he didn’t.

“It happened a few weeks later while they were home, at Nottingham Cottage roasting a chicken.

“Utter domestic simplicity and bliss and incredibly romantic.”

Inside the raciest sex-fessions of celeb cougars – from Heidi Klum’s ‘sex closet’ to Madonna’s ‘small d***s’ admission

WE’RE only two months in and 2025 is already shaping up to be the year of the cougar.

Cher, 78, was spotted laying the PDA on thick with her toyboy, 38, only a few nights ago, and we might hear even more about Kris Jenner’s, 69, sexcapades with the new series of The Kardashians underway.

Of course, some cougars are bound to experience heartbreak from their younger beaus, like Corrie’s Kym Marsh, 48, who has split from her “soulmate” Samuel Thomas, 29.

But on the whole, 2025 is looking like a year of famous cougars further expelling taboos and embracing their sexuality.

Officially, cougars are wild cats. But informally, the name is used to describe an older woman who is romantically or sexually interested in younger men.

The term gained widespread recognition in the early Noughties, thanks to its use in television, films and the press.

Fast forward to today, names like Madonna, Joan Collins, Kris Jenner, Heidi Klum and Cher might spring to mind when you think of cougars.

And it just so happens that these older women have not only embraced having toyboys, but even been open about their sexcapades with younger men.

Fabulous takes a look at the sex confessions of showbiz’s best known cougars…

Madonna & Akeem Morris – 38-year age gap

Madonna allegedly shacked up her footballer boyfriend Akeem Morris in July last year[/caption]

Hitmaker Madonna, 66, is rumoured to have struck up a relationship with her footballer toyboy Akeem Morris, 28, in July last year.

However, they were first photographed together in 2022 when he modeled in a photoshoot with her for Paper Magazine – including a steamy shot with his hand over her chest.

Madonna doesn’t hold back on admissions about her sexual appetite… or how well endowed her toyboys are.

During a 2020 show at the London Palladium, she said to her audience: “What do you call a man with a small penis? The answer is, I wouldn’t f***ing know. I’ve never been with a guy with a small d**k.”

She’s also a big fan of self-pleasure, even admitting in a 2021 documentary about her life: “I always masturbate, I’m known for it.”

In the same documentary, she said that she likes men to “f**k me then get out”.

Akeem isn’t Madonna’s first younger man. In 1991, she dated rapper Vanilla Ice, who was nine years her junior, for eight months. She was also married to film director Guy Ritchie, who was 10 years her junior, in the early Noughties.

The Material Girl singer also dated dancer and choreographer Ahlamalik Williams, who was 36 years her junior, between June 2019 and April 2022.

Cher & Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards – 40-year age gap

Cher has described herself as “fabulous” in the sack, and assures that her young boyfriend agrees[/caption]

After meeting briefly in Paris during Fashion Week in 2022, a mutual friend gave Cher’s, 78, number to her now-boyfriend, Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards, 38.

AE might be 40 years younger than the Believe singer, but the pair have gone from strength-to-strength, even amid split rumours.

At the SNL50 party, the pair were seen packing on the PDA, with Cher nuzzling into her beaming toyboy.

AE is a music executive currently posted at Sony Music Publishing, the record label that represents Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Charli XCX and even owns some songs by Cher.

The songstress previously took to X (formerly Twitter) to share nearly-nude photos of AE and told fans that they “kiss like teenagers”.

She also described herself as “fabulous” in the sack.

After being asked whether men “expect fabulous sex” from her in a November 2024 interview, she replied: “Yes, and they get it. You can tell by the reaction.”

“We can talk music. We can talk about everything. He’s got a great sense of humor, he’s got the cutest son in the world, ever,” she said of AE in the same interview. “We just get each other.”

Kris Jenner & Corey Gamble – 25-year age gap

Kris Jenner, 69, has embraced her sexuality as she’s gotten older, often showcasing it on her various reality shows.

In a 2020 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, she candidly told Khloé and Kendall about “being up all night” with her boyfriend, Corey Gamble, 44, admitting she couldn’t “stop thinking about sex.”

She and Corey even had sex in daughter Kylie’s office, where Kris asked the film crew to leave, claiming she needed a “10-minute break” in the locked room.

Cameras also captured them engaging in role play at a Beverly Hills hotel, where Kris was seen in a red wig, silk robe, lace lingerie and thigh-high leather stiletto boots.

The couple first met in Ibiza in August 2014 at mutual friend Riccardo Tisci’s 40th birthday party.

Their relationship began soon after Kris’ divorce from Bruce Jenner (now Caitlyn) after 22 years of marriage, raising concerns among her six children—especially due to the age gap.

However, on an episode of The Kardashians last year, Kris set the record straight on her 10-year relationship.

She said: “I used to say to Corey all the time when I first started dating him, like, ‘Why do you want to date somebody older than you?’ I didn’t get the age gap, and then he taught me that age is just a number.”

Heidi Klum and Tom Kaulitz – 16-year age gap

Supermodel Heidi Klum, 51, is married to guitarist Tom Kaulitz, 35, after meeting in 2018.

She quickly fell in love with her toyboy and secretly tied the knot in February 2019.

“My boyfriend is many years younger than me, and lots of people are questioning that and asking about it,” she said at the time.

“That’s really the only time when age seems to be shoved in my face and I have to give an answer for it.”

The mum-of-four has a dedicated “sex closet” with outfits, vibrators and toys organised by “one mood”, which her daughter accidentally stumbled upon once.

She shared her raciest confessions on The Skinny Confidential Him & Her podcast, admitting that she likes to have sex with her younger husband “for hours”.

Opening up about collecting sex toys while on holiday in Japan, she said: “I bought gigantic things and I was thinking, if anyone stops me and my suitcase and looks at what’s in this thing…oh my God.”

When asked to use only three words to describe her sex life, she beamed: “Endless, hot [and] wild.”

Joan Collins & Percy Gibson – 32-year age gap

Dame Joan Collins has been candid about the importance of sex in her age gap marriage with Percy Gibson[/caption]

Dame Joan Collins, 91, has previously credited her youthful appearance to one thing – plenty of sex.

And she’s even assigned her husband Percy Gibson, 59, with a domineering nickname in the sack.

The pair, who have a 32 year age gap, met while Joan was performing in a play that Percy was directing in 2000 and tied the knot two years later, making him her fifth husband

“I call him Perfect Percy, which he hates, and sometimes Big Dog – which he loves,” she reportedly said in a speech at their wedding.

Joan has candidly confessed the “importance of sex” in both her relationship and life on multiple occasions.

“Let’s not forget the importance of sex when it comes to looking and feeling good,” she wrote in her 2011 book, The World According to Joan

“It is every adult’s prerogative to enjoy sex (although young people may not agree).”

And she even confessed on Loose Women that the three most important things about her marriage are “sex, sex, sex”.
