Shakur Stevenson was originally scheduled to fight Floyd Schofield but after being allegedly ‘poisoned’ just six days before the bout, Padley now steps in to what is the biggest fight of his life.

KATHRYN Thomas has opened up about the brutal bullying she faced as a child in school.
The Q102 radio star sat down with Late Late Show host Patrick Kielty last night to discuss her latest project which puts a magnifying glass on the weight-loss drug, Ozempic.
Kathryn has always shared a passion for helping people look and feel their best, and hosted the hit RTE series Operation Transformation for over four years.
Now, the Carlow native has moved on to front a brand-new two part documentary titled The Skinny Jab Revolution.
Speaking on the new project, the 45-year-old told Kielty: “If you had told me that my next project would be anything to do with weight I would have said you were absolutely cracked.
“I had been reading about these GLP1 medications for the last two years, and a friend of mine who is a doctor, works in Dubai, said, ‘Kathryn, the Middle East is shrinking; everyone is on this medication; it is insane; they are having Ozempic parties’.
“So it was all bubbling and the whole Hollywood thing was kicking off. But I wanted to learn why diet and exercise for some people is not enough.”
Reminiscing on her childhood, the broadcaster got personal when revealing she endured name-calling and shaming due to her weight back in school.
She said: “Well I was quite overweight as a kid, so I remember the name-calling and the stigma and the shame.
“There was one incident that I recall, I was very young and we were in the classroom and the teacher lined all the children up and to help us learn our Irish, he would point at each kid.
“So he would say, ‘Oh, that boy is the fastest boy in the class, that boy is the cleverest boy in the class,’ and then pointed to me and said, ‘Ta Kathryn an cailin is ramhar sa seomara.'”
The term loosely translates to: Kathryn is the fattest girl in the classroom.
Kathryn continued: “I was lucky because I found sport and I lost a lot of weight in my teenage years. But, I know children who went through that classroom under that teacher and the impact that had on them was a life-long impact.”
When asked how she thinks the landscape in Ireland will change now that the Ozempic drug is so widely available, the popular presenter admitted: “It’s just so divisive.”
Kathryn continued: “For people living with obesity, it will change them for the better. These drugs are life changing and people that have struggled now have something that will help them.
“But there is a lack of regulation; these drugs, used incorrectly, are no better than a yo-yo diet. It’s so dangerous in the wrong hands.”
Kathryn told host Kielty that she had experienced first-hand an improper prescription of Ozempic as she sat at her own kitchen table, went on an Irish website, entered all of her details incorrectly and was still prescribed the weight loss drug.
The Irish star sternly highlighted: “I could be a 15-year-old girl with my mothers credit card and an eating disorder and it’s delivered to the door. This is the danger without the proper regulation in place.”
The release date of Kathryn’s new documentary has yet to be revealed.

Some Burren Smokehouse products are being recalled across the country due to the possible presence of listeria.
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland issued recall alerts with two food products pulled from the shelves after they were deemed unsafe.
They said that batches of Burren Smokehouse organic hot smoked products are being recalled due to “the possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes“.
The impacted products are Burren Smokehouse Smoked Irish Organic Salmon Hot Smoked Over Oak and Burren Smokehouse Organic Hot smoked over oak with honey, lemon & pepper.
The affected Burren Smokehouse Smoked Irish Organic Salmon Hot Smoked Over Oak batch numbers are 429721 and 52221.
It comes in pack sizes of 500g and 180g with use by dates of: 04/03/2025, 10/03/2025, 11/03/2025, 05/03/2025, 10/03/2025 and 11/03/2025
And the affected Burren Smokehouse Organic Hot smoked over oak with honey, lemon & pepper batch numbers are 51721 and 429121.
It comes in a pack size of 140g with use by dates of: 04/03/2025, 05/03/2025, 10/03/2025 and 18/02/2025.
Dunnes Stores, Tesco Ireland and local supermarkets have removed the affected batches from sale and displayed recall notices at point-of-sale.
Customers are urged not to consume the products and return them to their point of purchase or dispose of them.
Symptoms of listeria can include mild flu-like symptoms, or gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea.
In rare cases, the infection can be more severe, causing serious complications.
Some people are more vulnerable to Listeria monocytogenes infections, including pregnant women, babies, and people with weakened immune systems, including the elderly.
The incubation period is, on average, 3 weeks but can range between 3 and 70 days.
This comes after Old Irish Creamery Cheese products were recalled across the country.
The major cheese manufacturer company pulled the food item after it was deemed unsafe.
Old Creamery took the batches off the shelves due to the presence of Listeria monocytogenes.
This is a type of bacteria that can cause a serious infection called listeriosis.
When contaminated food is consumed, especially unpasteurised dairy products, raw vegetables and ready-to-eat meats, it can lead to the illness.
The list of Old Irish Creamery Cheese issued the recall include Irish Cheddar with chives, with Red Wine, with Chili, with Cranberries, with Murphy’s Stout, with Garlic & Herbs, with Irish Porter, with Irish Whiskey, with Curry, with Pepper Cheese, with Pumpkin Seed, with Sriracha, with Caesar Salad, with Coffee and Oak Smoked.
And the product have been sold in major supermarkets across Ireland.
The food items had a use-by-date ranging from 4/04/2025 to the 20/11/2025.
KANYE West is looking to boost his finances by spending $100 million on two private jets outfitted with luxury features, which he plans to rent out to wealthy clients.
The controversial rapper, who claims to still be a billionaire despite losing numerous endorsement deals following offensive outbursts, aims to capitalize on what remains of his fame.
Two well-placed insiders told The U.S. Sun that Kanye’s team approached them six months ago with this extravagant money-making idea.
One source, a consultant in the private aviation industry, revealed that Kanye plans to rent the jets to affluent clients, including CEOs and celebrities, who can afford the premium ticket prices, which have yet to be finalized.
The two jets reportedly being considered are a $38 million Gulfstream G650ER and a $40 million Dassault Falcon 900LX.
Kanye is expected to spend at least an additional $20 million on major upgrades to the interiors, including $40,000 Italian leather seats, a fully stocked bar, and other luxury amenities.
According to a consultant in the luxury design industry, there are also plans to include Yeezy-branded furniture on board, creating an immersive “Ye experience” for travelers.
Even after ending partnerships with major brands, Kanye has continued to earn considerable sums from his music, including millions through “listening parties,” while his Yeezy clothing line continues to thrive.
However, with past debts reaching up to $53 million, combined with growing expenses for abandoned mansion renovations, outstanding taxes, and ongoing legal disputes, doubts about Kanye’s financial stability persist.
“The goal is to make money,” confirmed the first insider. “He wants to add this business to his personal portfolio and investments.”
The luxury design consultant added that Kanye’s team is requesting interior designs inspired by the Yeezy brand, including custom furniture engraved with his “Y” logo.
Gold-accented features and Kanye’s signature black-and-light-cream color scheme are also part of the plan.
The jets would feature extra-large seats, a full bar staffed by a waiter serving cocktails, and fine Italian wines.
“Kanye wants the planes to reflect his style and be filled with luxurious items that showcase his impact on the creative and fashion industries,” the consultant said.
In 2022, Kanye’s business ventures appeared to collapse when Adidas severed ties with Yeezy.
However, he continued earning royalties from his earlier hit albums and maintained a valuable property portfolio, including high-end homes and ranches.
He still holds a five percent stake in Skims, the shapewear brand he co-founded with ex-wife Kim Kardashian, which is now valued at $4 billion.
Determined to regain billionaire status, Kanye enlisted disgraced American Apparel founder Dov Charney in 2023 to help revive Yeezy.
He purchased a $6.7 million property in West Hollywood, intending to use it as the company’s headquarters.
While staff briefly worked there on sewing machines, operations were later halted, and the roof was removed. Over a year later, the property remains empty and roofless.
The U.S. Sun also reported on Kanye’s failed attempts to stage live performances at iconic landmarks such as the Great Wall of China and the Taj Mahal.

Many in his inner circle are enablers, except for a few who have tried to save him from himself and sadly failed.
A public pile-on could only backfire in these circumstances, although I stand by the Jewish community and think his comments have been unforgivable.
Kanye needs to step back from public life, he needs to get help, and he needs to get to the root of his issues once and for all.
He is a 47-year-old man who has already ruined his legacy and needs to be responsible for his own actions, not only for his sake, and for the sake of his children.
OLD Nintendo 64 consoles can fetch thousands of pounds – and you might have the right model at home.
So if you’re hanging on to any of the iconic ’90s gaming machines, it might be time to dust them off.
One special model could net you more than £2,200 if you’ve got it tucked away somewhere.
The Nintendo 64 is one of the best-loved consoles of all time.
It came out in Japan in June 1996, following by a March 1997 release for Europe – with Nintendo ultimately selling more than 32 million of them.
But one specific colour option – Smoke Black – is particularly favoured by fans who are willing to pay big money for a unit.
The regular console was a solid grey, but the Smoke Black version had a translucent design.
And according to video game collectibles tracker PriceCharting, a sealed Smoke Black N64 console is worth £2,203.21.
What’s more, if you’ve had it professionally graded, the value rises to a whopping £2,423.53.
Chances are that you’ve probably opened your Nintendo 64, but don’t panic: an unsealed unit is still worth a fair bit of cash.
The site estimates that a complete-in-box Smoke Black N64 is worth £816.03.
If you’ve got the console on its own without a box, it could fetch £285.44.
The box, bizarrely, is worth even more at an estimated £326.42.
And the manual is listed with an approximate value of £204.01.
Of course, these prices are estimates based on previous online sales of the console.
So if you do decide to sell your unit, you could end up getting less than these values.
It’s also possible that the right collector might pay even more than these sums.
And bear in mind that the value of your old console might go up over time, so think carefully before flogging your retro gaming machine.
The good news is that a Smoke Black Nintendo 64 isn’t your only chance at riches.
Other Nintendo 64 consoles can also fetch a tidy sum.
For instance, the sealed Nintendo 64 Ice Blue console is estimated to be worth a healthy £1,578 – or £119 opened up.
The Jungle Green Nintendo 64 could net you £1,386 sealed, or £513 in an open box.
Nintendo’s Pikachu version of the console has a valuation of £1,380 if it’s brand new, or £455 “complete in box”.
Then there’s the Fire Orange Nintendo 64, with a new value of £911. Unsealed, it’ll drop to £337.
