Paige Turley shares update on ex Lewis Capaldi amid new album rumours

PAIGE Turley has shared an update on her ex Lewis Capaldi, amid new album rumours.

The 27-year-old Love Island star dated singer Lewis for more than a year after meeting at college in Motherwell before they split.

It was claimed his massive hit Someone You Loved was written about her but he has said the song was actually a tribute to his late gran.

Now, Paige has shared an update on Lewis after seeing him recently, amid his musical hiatus.

Lewis took a break from the industry in 2023 to focus on his mental health and to get back into the right headspace after admitting that he was struggling on stage.

Paige told The Sun at the Geordie Shore launch: “The last time I saw him was a couple of months ago because we were both out for one of our friends’ birthday parties, and he’s doing much better in himself.

“It was really nice to see him and he’s doing well – I don’t know if he’s writing, but he’s doing much better in himself.”

She continued: “I obviously grew up with him so to see him in a low place has been difficult.

“It’s difficult because he’s been so under pressure as a global super star and I feel like the pressure has scared him a lot maybe.

“But I’ll say he really does seem like he’s in a much better place now.”

Last year, The Sun revealed that Lewis had gone back into the studio to have some jamming sessions with his pals.

And the Scottish star was also overheard talking about working on his third album in Gerry’s bar in London’s Soho.

The source told The Sun: “They told me: “Lewis was in Gerry’s with a couple of mates in London having some drinks and talking about his next album.

“He said he wanted to bring it out next year and was clearly really excited.

“Lewis seemed on top form and was really happy and smiley. Everyone who spotted him was starstruck — the man is a legend.”

Addressing his fans after he cut his set at Glastonbury short, Lewis told them: “The fact that this probably won’t come as a surprise doesn’t make it any easier to write, but I’m very sorry to let you know I’m going to be taking a break from touring for the foreseeable future.

“I used to be able to enjoy every second of shows like this and I’d hoped weeks away would sort me out.

“On Saturday it became obvious that I need to spend much more time getting my mental and physical health in order, so I can keep doing everything I love for a long time to come.

“I’m so incredibly sorry to everyone who had planned to come to a show before the end of the year but I need to feel well to perform at the standard you all deserve.

“Playing for you every night is all I have ever dreamed of doing so this has been the most difficult decision of my life. I’ll be back as soon as I possibly can.”

Lewis headed back into the studio with British singer-songwriter Dan D’Lion in June last year, when he was snapped strumming on an acoustic guitar.

‘It was terrifying – we had to scramble to get out in the dark’, says Irish star as she flees LA home amid wildfires

IRISH model Kerrie McMahon has said she was “terrified” after having to flee her home in Los Angeles, California.

Celebrity haunts have been left as ghost towns as gusty winds and dry conditions have allowed the five major fires – named Palisades, Eaton, Hurst, Lidia, and Sunset – to quickly spread.

Irish models Tiffany Stanley and Kerrie McMahon were among the tens of thousands who were forced to evacuate their homes in LA.

Kerrie took to Instagram today to update her fans on her safety after having to leave her house in a panic with her three-year-old daughter Isabel Grace.

The Dubliner wrote: “Safely made it to the hotel after the most frightening day.

“We lost our power yesterday but the fires did not appear to be in our area.

“Then we got notified to evacuate right away at 6pm so had to scramble to get out in the dark. Everyone was fleeing in their cars.

“Praying for everyone affected in LA.”

Tiffany also spent the night packing up her belongings to prepare for evacuation.

The influencer moved to America ten years ago and lives with her long-term boyfriend entrepreneur Garrett Thomas.

The former Miss Kildare got emotional as she spoke about her situation saying: “I can’t believe we are saying this but we are preparing to evacuate. I hope we don’t have to.

“Runyon Canyon is just a stones’ throw from our house. It has just gone up in flames out of the blue. It’s super bizarre.

“I don’t know how to process this. I hope they can contain it so we don’t have to leave.

“This is so f***ed up. I can see the fire from my house. We’re going to pack up now.”

LEFT IN RUINS

The 37-year-old also posted a video of the horrifying fire that could be seen from her street.

Some of Hollywood’s biggest names have lost their glitzy homes to the raging wildfires that are sweeping across Los Angeles.

Leighton Meester and Adam Brody’s mansion, where they lived with their two young children, was reduced to smoking rubble.

Paris Hilton’s Malibu beach house and Billy Crystal’s sprawling home were also burnt down.

Actors John Goodman, Miles Teller and Anthony Hopkins also saw their houses destroyed.
