Phil Taylor fires words of warning to Luke Littler as world darts champions could lose £500k within a year on PDC Tour

LUKE LITTLER could lose HALF-A-MILLION quid within a year should he make a little-known error when it comes to his prize funds.

The greatest to ever do it Phil Taylor has warned the Nuke about managing his eye-watering fortune.

Littler has enjoyed a blockbuster first full year on the senior PDC tour, winning the World Championship for the first time in January.

The teenager secured a huge payday of £500,000 after he beat Michael van Gerwen to become the youngest ever world champ.

But he has now been advised by darts legend Taylor to set up TWO bank accounts to manage his £1.5million earnings from the past year.

Despite being 18 years old, Littler will be hit with a hefty 45 per cent tax rate after his first full year on the tour.

That could mean that he’s up to £500,000 worse off after a visit from the taxman.

But Taylor, 64, has been on hand with a useful piece of advice for the prodigal star.

The Power has revealed that he used two separate accounts to be able to efficiently manage his finances and tax obligations.

Taylor told Sport Bible: “Make sure you look after your money

“Two bank accounts – one in one, and half in another. So that’s your tax. That’s what I always used to do.

“Try to start investing your money, so if anything happens, if you fall down and break your arm or something, you’ve got something to fall back on.”

Littler had said that he had little idea what to do with his winnings after scooping the main prize at Ally Pally at the turn of the year.

Taylor, meanwhile, is the second-richest darts player of all-time in terms of career earnings – and has therefore knows a thing or two about managing money.

Given the higher winnings in recent years, Van Gerwen has claimed the most prize money with £9 million banked.

Taylor also sent Littler a warning about how other players will approach matches against him this season.

He said: “Everybody plays well against you because you’re a big name.

“I said it last week – you get the Manchester United syndrome. And Liverpool.

“You have to perform every week, you don’t get an easy game now. As long as you can take the pressure, people putting pressure on you.

“Because as soon as he loses, like he lost in the Players Championship, bang – they’re on you. They’re on your back.

“They start asking, ‘What’s happened to you? Has the bubble burst?’ You have to be thick-skinned, take no notice of it and carry on.

“That’s all you can do [control what you can control]. It’s like having a pub. Don’t worry about the pub across the road, concentrate on your pub.

“It doesn’t matter what he’s doing. But if he’s doing anything good, have a think about it and do it yourself!”

Littler has lost five matches to opponents with a 100-plus average so far in 2025, including a 6-4 defeat to Gerwyn Price in night three of Premier League Darts on Friday.

Palace aide at centre of Meghan ‘bullying’ scandal finally breaks silence – & reveals ‘I wouldn’t change anything’

THE Palace aide at the centre of the Meghan Markle bullying scandal has finally broken his silence.

Jason Knauf – who previously worked for Prince William and Princess Kate for seven years – says he “wouldn’t change anything”.

Speaking to 60 Minutes Australia today, he reflected on the intense scrutiny he faced after an internal email he wrote and Meg was leaked to the media.

He had sent the message in 2018 raising concerns about the Duchess of Sussex’s alleged treatment of staff.

It was made public three years later ahead of Meg and Prince Harry’s controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey during which it was claimed racist remarks were made about the then-unborn Prince Archie.

Meg strongly denied the claims, labelling them as part of a smear campaign.

Referring to the attention he received at the time, Mr Knauf said: “I think it, it’s tough, but it’s probably quite good.

“You know someone who has been helping other people through how to deal with the public eye. You probably had to take your own medicine sometimes.”

He continued: “You can’t choose just to take the fun stuff in any job. And that applies to the Prince and Princess as well as everyone else working for them. So I wouldn’t change anything.”

Mr Knauf doubled down on whether he had any regrets, saying “no” and adding in such a role you have to “take everything that comes with it”.

And despite the scandal, he went on to speak warmly of Meg and Harry, saying he had “lots of great times” with the pair while working closely with them, including on their wedding.

It comes after Mr Knauf revealed the devastating phone call in which William was told Kate and King Charles had been diagnosed with cancer weeks apart.

He said the future monarch experienced his lowest moment last year.

Kate announced her cancer diagnosis in March 2024 in an emotional video released by Kensington Palace.

The previous month, Charles had confirmed he had also been diagnosed with a form of the disease following a hospital procedure for a benign prostate enlargement.

Mr Knauf went on to say matters were made worse for William – who shares children George, Charlotte and Louis with Kate – due to the “crazy” conspiracy theories about the Princess’ withdrawal from public life.

At the time of her announcement, Kate was said to be recovering after treatment in hospital in January, and hadn’t been seen in public since the previous Christmas.

Days before a scandal erupted after the Palace released an official photo of the royal and her kids, which was pulled by agencies, including Reuters, Getty and Associated Press, over concerns it had been heavily doctored.

This was later admitted by the Firm, with Kate forced to take the blame.

It led to fans online questioning where she was and if she was genuinely ill.

He added that the couple have always had their children’s best interests at throughout Kate’s health battle.

He said they were clear “they had to be parents first” when planning out the year.

I grew up a rich kid, I’ve never had a job and pick my friends based on how much money they have, it’s just easier

A STAY-at-home daughter who has never worked a day in her life has revealed what it’s really like growing up in the 1%.

Chloe, 21, took to social media to share just how different her life was compared to the average adult.

She revealed she chooses her friends based on how much cash they have[/caption]

She said: “Things I thought were normal growing up rich.”

Chloe first revealed that for Chinese New Year she once got gifted £1,000 in cash along with a solid bar of gold.

But the US-based daughter said it wasn’t uncommon to get extravagant gifts.

“For example, for my first-month birthday party, I got a Louis Vuitton Mini Speedy from the Murakami collection,” Chloe said.

“Every year for my birthday, my grandparents would give me a Tiffany key pendant, and I honestly have no clue where they are anymore.”

While Chloe admits she has been super blessed with her upbringing, she does say it comes with negatives too.

She said her parents were often strict, and Chloe was never able to go on school trips or pick the classes she wanted to take.

“She was scared we were going to get kidnapped,” she continued as she also explained she had to do finance in school or would lose her inheritance.

Chloe also said she had to be picky with friends who could keep up with her lavish lifestyle.

“It’s hard to find people that have enough cash to keep up with us, and while that’s a joke, it is a little bit true because you are gonna be friends with people that have similar experiences with you,” she explained.

The clip was posted to her TikTok account @chloeabeth4545 and it went viral with over 3 million views and 325k likes.

People were quick to take to the comments to share their thoughts on Chloe’s lifestyle.

One person wrote: “The friends thing sounded so classist.””

Another commented: “My fave rich girl ugh can’t wait to be iconic like you.”

Five biggest clues in major search for jogger, 23, who vanished on remote moor – from car dashcam to smartwatch data

FEARS are growing for a missing jogger who went missing on a remote moor.

Jenny Hall, 23, was last seen leaving her home in Tow Law, County Durham, just after 3pm on Tuesday.

Since her disappearance, a widespread search has been underway to locate the keen runner.

In the five days since she went missing, mountain rescue teams and cops have scoured over 100 miles of running trails.

As the search ramps up, here are the five biggest clues in the search for the missing jogger who vanished on a remote moor.

ABANDONED CAR

It emerged earlier this week that Jenny had parked her car in a remote lay-by surrounded by empty moorland before she went missing.

Dashcam footage taken by a passing motorist showed her abandoned red Ford Focus on the B6278, between Eggleston and Stanhope.

The video was taken just one hour after the jogger left her home in Tow Law, County Durham, on Tuesday afternoon.

MYSTERIOUS DIGITAL TRACE

Earlier this week, a police spokesperson said digital intelligence officers had conducted enquiries into Jenny’s digital devices.

Behind the scenes, they looked at her mobile phone, smart watch and running apps but none have provided any results.

Chief Inspector Dean Haythornthwaite, of Durham Constabulary, added: “We have become increasingly concerned for Jenny since she was reported missing on Tuesday and have been exploring all lines of enquiry, including dozens from members of the public.

“We are focusing our search on areas we know Jenny likes to run through and we are determined to do everything we can to find her.

“I would like to thank everyone who is working around-the-clock in our search and efforts to reunite Jenny with her family.”

‘INCREDIBLY REMOTE AREA’

A driver who captured dashcam footage of Jenny’s abandoned car later told of his increasing fears for the woman who went missing in “an incredibly remote area”.

He said: “It is an incredibly remote area.

“My fears for the missing woman are growing.

“I really hope she is found safe and well.”

Timeline of events

  • Tuesday, 18 February at 3pm: Jenny Hall left her home in Tow Law, County Durham.
  • Tuesday, 18 February at 9pm: Her family alert the police of her disappearance.
  • Wednesday, 19 February: A red Ford Focus was found parked on the B6278, between Eggleston and Stanhope.
  • Thursday, 20 February: A search and rescue operation is launched in a desperate bid to find the runner.
  • Friday, 21 February: Dashcam footage from a passing motorist shows the missing woman’s car abandoned in a remote moor.
  • Saturday, 22 February: Search continues for missing woman continues, with hundreds of miles scoured for clues.

Jenny, who disappeared five days ago, is understood to have left her vehicle between Eggleston and Stanhope.

The discovery of the Ford Focus sparked a 100-mile wide search for the missing runner.

RUNNING ROUTES

Jenny has been described as a keen jogger who often ran routes between Eggleston and Hamsterley, Durham.

Teesdale and Weardale Search and Mountain Rescue Team (TWSMRT) said it scoured an area of moorland between Eggleston and Stanhope on Wednesday.

More than 100 miles of track have already been covered in the Teesdale area alone to find the missing woman.

Sniffer dogs and HM Coastguard air support have also been involved in the search.

But so far, there has been no trace of the jogger.

Police believe Jenny may have been heading to the Barnard Castle area when she left home in her red Ford Focus.

‘CHALLENGING WEATHER CONDITIONS’

It was revealed on Friday that turbulent weather and rough ground was prevalent in the area where Jenny disappeared.

Cops said searchers were facing “challenging weather conditions and terrain”.

Police added they were grateful for assistance from the Rurali community group, who have been assisting in the search for the 23-year-old.

Durham Police added: “We would like to thank the public for their continuing support in the search.

“Anyone who believes they may have seen Jenny or has any relevant information about her whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately on 999.”

A spokesperson thanked the public for offers of help in the hunt for Jenny.

But individuals were advised not to try and assist as it could “hamper the systematic search”.
