Miquita Oliver shocks fans as she reveals her first kiss was with ISIS terrorist ‘Jihadi George’
TV presenter Miquita Oliver has stunned fans by revealing her first kiss was with Alexanda Kotey — the ISIS terrorist known as Jihadi George, a member of the notorious Beatles terror cell.
Miquita, 40, made the revelation on her Miss Me podcast, recalling her time at Fox Primary School in Kensington and Chelsea, where she and Kotey were classmates.
Reflecting on their childhood, she told co-host Lily Allen: “Do you remember who my first kiss is? It’s Alexy — mixed race Alexy from Fox. And do you remember what happened to Alexy? He became Jihadi George!”
Kotey, 41, was a leading figure in the brutal ISIS group that kidnapped and murdered 27 people, including British aid worker David Haines.
The terror cell became infamous for targeting Westerners and carrying out horrific executions.
Before his radicalisation, Kotey grew up in Shepherd’s Bush, West London, with a Ghanaian father and a Greek Cypriot mother.
He was believed to have dealt drugs before converting to Islam in his early 20s and eventually leaving for Syria in 2012.
In Syria, Kotey became known for inflicting extreme torture on hostages, including electric shocks.
He also acted as a recruiter, persuading other British citizens to join ISIS.
Kotey was captured in 2018 while attempting to flee to Turkey.
He was later extradited to the US, where he pleaded guilty to eight charges, including lethal hostage-taking.
Judge T.S. Ellis branded Kotey’s actions as “violent and inhumane”.
In a letter that Kotey had penned before being sentenced, he claimed he took “full responsibility” for his actions.
In 2022, he was sentenced to life in prison — with 15 years to be served in the US before a potential transfer to the UK.
On the podcast, Miquita quickly moved on from the revelation, saying: “It’s not my story to tell, so let’s move on!”
At the peak of its power from 2014-2017, the so-called Islamic State ruled over millions of people and claimed responsibility for or inspired attacks in dozens of cities around the world.
Its leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, declared a caliphate over a quarter of Iraq and Syria in 2014, before he was killed in a raid by US special forces in Syria in 2019 as the group’s rule collapsed.
HORRIFIC MURDER
David Haines from Perth in Scotland was captured by militants in Syria in March 2013 while delivering aid to the war-torn country.
The father of two was beheaded in 2014 after being held by the terrorist cell dubbed “The Beatles” because of their English accents.
Footage of his murder was posted online. His remains have never been discovered.
British national El Shafee Elsheikh was also sentenced to life in a US jail for his involvement in the plot to kill hostages.
A third man, Mohammed Emwazi, dubbed Jihadi John, who was believed to have featured in shocking videos of IS beheadings of a number of captives, was killed in a drone strike in 2015.
David’s daughter Bethany marked 10 years since his tragic death in October.
Friends and family gathered in Perth for the service, which Bethany said was organised to celebrate the life of her father and to remember all other hostages.
Speaking at the service, Bethany said: “It’s hard to believe it is 10 years since my world was shattered and I had to accept that I was never going to see my dad again.
“It has been a long and hard 10 years with many ups and downs. The pain has never gone away and probably never will but I learned to cope with it and channel my energies into positive things.”
She continued: “He would not want to be remembered as the man in the orange jumpsuit, he would want to be remembered as the man who loved his family, who was generous, who wanted to help in any way he could and who loved life.”
She described her father as “strong, kind and caring” and said he would have loved becoming a grandfather and spending time with her son.

EVERY parent knows that getting a young child to eat anything is a victory in itself.
From one day to the next, it can be difficult to determine what your tot will be in the mood for.
And that’s why one mum was left fuming after learning about the lunch time rule at her daughter’s nursery, reports the Daily Mail.
Caroline shared her annoyed response in a clip posted on her TikTok page (@pezzi.shop).
The woman explained that her three-year-old daughter came home from school and told her that her teacher said she had to eat all of her “good” foods before she ate her “bad” foods.
She shared a glimpse inside her child’s lunchbox, which included a tinfoil wrapped sandwich, cucumber slices, strawberries, an orange, and a biscuit.
Caroline revealed that her daughter was told she couldn’t have her biscuit before eating her sandwich and cucumber slices.
She described how she felt “a little frustrated by the antiquated instruction from the teacher”.
“I responded saying: ‘Well, that’s silly, there are no good foods or bad foods. Food is just food’,” the mum said.
The TikToker shared the note that she taped to the front of her daughter’s lunchbox the following day.
It read: “Hi! Evelyn has our permission to eat lunch in any order she chooses. None of her foods are ‘good’ or ‘bad’ – they are just food! Thanks! Caroline and Joey.”
Caroline explained that this had not been the approach when she was younger but credited other mums and experts in the field of childhood and nutrition for changing the mentality.
The mum said she now has a more positive view on food, with “better responses, knowledge, and practices for my kids”.
She added that she was “proud” of her daughter for “sensing something was off” with her teacher’s rule.
Caroline explained that she and her husband “talk all the time at home” about the importance of a balanced diet.
They regularly remind their daughter if she only eats carrots or broccoli then her body won’t have protein it needs to grow strong muscles.
The couple encourage her to eat all her food groups so she has enough her to “run and play all day long”.

Permissive parents tend to be indulgent and lenient, often taking on a role more akin to a friend than an authority figure. They are highly responsive but lack demandingness, granting children a lot of freedom. This method can nurture creativity and a free-spirited nature but may also result in poor self-regulation and difficulties with authority.
Uninvolved Parenting
Uninvolved or neglectful parenting is marked by low responsiveness and low demands. Parents in this category offer minimal guidance, nurturing, or attention. This often leaves children feeling neglected, which can have significant negative effects on their emotional and social development.
Helicopter Parenting
Helicopter parents are extremely involved and overprotective, frequently micromanaging their children’s lives. Although their goal is to protect and support, this approach can hinder a child’s ability to develop independence and problem-solving skills.
Free-Range Parenting
Free-range parenting encourages children to explore and learn from their surroundings with minimal parental interference. This method promotes independence and resilience but requires a safe and supportive environment to be successful.
Attachment Parenting
According to Marriage.com, Attachment parenting focuses on physical closeness and emotional bonding, often through practices such as co-sleeping and baby-wearing. This approach aims to create secure attachments and emotional well-being, but demands significant time and emotional commitment from parents.
Each of these parenting techniques has its own set of strengths and weaknesses. The key is to find a balanced approach that aligns with the family’s values and meets the child’s needs for a healthy, happy upbringing.
However, not everyone agreed with how the mum handled the situation.
TikTok users shared their thoughts on Caroline’s approach in the comments section.
“That’s great until they’re in the third grade [nine-years-old] and still as small as a kinder. I beg my son to eat his sandwich first he needs to grow,” wrote one parent.
“I’m sure the teacher wasn’t trying to be cruel. Maybe you could have talked to the teacher instead of a passive aggressive note on your three year old’s lunch?” suggested another person.
“Why send your kid to a school you don’t agree with? Also, I guarantee other teachers will tell her the same. Are you going to write notes to them too?” asked a third viewer.
On the other hand, some TikTok users shared their support for Caroline’s response.
“As a teacher, if their belly is full, that’s all that matters. And trust me, we’re so busy they’re gonna eat it all!” said one follower.
“As a daycare teacher, I will always try to encourage kids to eat at least some of their ‘foods that give them energy to play’ but I can’t imagine telling a kid that foods are good or bad,” wrote another person.

RUTH Langsford took a shock swipe at Eamonn Holmes live on Loose Women today.
Presenter Ruth, 64, made the rare remark during a discussion about childbirth and midwifery on the ITV daytime show.
Reflecting on the birth of their son Jack, now 22, Ruth quipped, “Eamonn did what he could,” prompting laughter from her co-stars and the audience.
She said: “My midwife Maria, who sadly passed, we remained friends, she came to Jack’s birthday parties when he was young.
“I just remember feeling that Maria and I birthed Jack… I mean Eamonn was there and he did what he could in that moment.”
It was then that fellow panellist Myleene Klass let out a chuckle, along with a few members of the studio crowd.
Ruth continued: “At that moment, I was relying on her. You know, when you have your eyes closed. I could hear her talking, going, ‘Keep on, another breath.’
“I just remember focusing on her voice and her face that really got me through. I was a new mum, I didn’t know what I was doing and she had birthed so many babies.”
Ruth and Eamonn, 65, who co-hosted ITV’s This Morning for 15 years, broke up last May.
Ruth recently spoke publicly for the first time about her split with telly host Eamonn.
And it has not put her off finding love again.
She told Woman & Home magazine: “I’m quite fine being on my own, but not forever.
“Relationship breakdowns are very difficult, but you deal with it and have to move on.”
“You can let yourself crumble or you pick yourself up and get on with life. It’s a choice.”
Eamonn moved on quickly and went public with his girlfriend, relationship counsellor Katie Alexander, 42, in October. Friends say he may soon propose.
He has been seen using a wheelchair due to mobility issues.
Ruth, who was with Eamonn for 27 years, said: “I’m not delighted my marriage is over, but I’ve accepted it.
“I’m trying to now embrace the fact I’m single and can make choices that are just about me.
“Divorce is very painful. Most don’t do it in the public eye, with everybody having an opinion. But that’s the nature of my job.
“I’ve always had that and if you can’t cope, you shouldn’t be doing this job.”
She revealed she had also lost weight.
Ruth said: “Divorce obviously has something to do with it, but I also went for a hormone rebalance, which helped.”
Ruth hosts Loose Women twice a week and covers Thursday on shopping channel QVC, banking £2.5million last year.
She said: “People ask, ‘What’s next?’ I go, ‘What else do you want me to do?’
“Honestly, I’m not looking for more big projects.”
