Shoppers Say This $9 Volumizing Spray ‘Makes Your Hair Look & Feel Thicker’

If there’s a downside to volumizing and thickening hairsprays, it is the less-than-desirable, rat nest texture that makes it next to impossible to casually run your fingers through your hair, let alone style it without encountering some nasty knots (if you know, you know.) Luckily, shoppers with fine or thinning hair looking to add some […]

‘Overmarked again’ say RTE Dancing With The Stars viewers as Danny O’Carroll splits opinions with ‘infectious’ salsa

RTE Dancing With The Stars contestant Danny O’Carroll remained resilient on the dance floor despite receiving mixed reviews.

The hit RTE show returned tonight with the highly anticipated Orchestra Night, where each dance was performed with the RTE Concert Orchestra in the studio.

Danny and his pro partner Salome Chachua performed a sensual salsa to Lionel Richies All Night Long.

For his saucy dance tonight, Danny donned a vibrant pink short-shirt on stage that he paired with a black t-shirt and pants.

While his partner popped on a stunning orange and pink floral midi dress.

The pair weren’t all looks as the judges were blown away by their performance and gave the pair some glowing reviews.

Arthur Gourounlian started the judge’s comments with: “Oh, Danny. I can watch you dancing all night long. It was a feel-good, vibrant salsa for me, and you really captured the spirit of the dance, and I can see the joy in your movement.

“Now, let’s talk about your hip action; sexy the way you actually pulled up your shirt while moving around. And also, not only that, the transition, but with the moves were smooth, you guys looked like you were living your best life in the club in Cuba, seriously, infectious, dynamic. I loved it.”

Brian Redmond said: “Danny, you’re sort of starting to get the hang of this dancing thing. You were cool, suave, sophisticated, but still had some energy. I mean, I’ve never seen a boy from Finglas look as Afro Caribbean as we’ve seen tonight.

“I mean, the technique was there. The energy was there. There was one part I wasn’t that mad about. It was the bit in the middle where you were doing the sort of keepie uppie, like football style with Salome.

“I thought that was a bit third division rather than Premier League. But, you’re starting to become a real contender. Well done. Danny.”

Karen said: “I feel Dan, you have full on like Swayze vibes tonight. I love the whole look, and I kind of disagree with you [Brian Redmond] with the keepie-uppi, that takes skill to have someone’s head on your foot while you’re spinning around.

“I was impressed by that. Then getting into the salsa, it looked like you took a real relaxed approach, and it looked easy, which it’s not. You sold that to me.”

Loraine Barry added: “Well, for me, it was definitely a Danny pool, and I think everyone’s mentioned it. You were very chill, very relaxed. But it wasn’t that you weren’t doing anything. It was just that inner rhythm, and it went through from the hips into the shoulders. But also what I liked was the balance between them.

“We always see Salome. And I liked the way you sort of drew us all in to watch you. It was like all inside and that, but you were there for partnering skills a hand over again, the turns were there and the lips. So I actually liked you tonight a lot.”

TOP TV

Danny walked away with one of the highest scores of the evening receiving a respectable 33 from the judges tonight.

However viewers at home appeared to be a lot more divided over the performance than the judges.

Cai said: “That salsa fell a bit flat, his free arm is dead, overall it felt static. But no doubt the judges will over mark it.”

Drew said: “Overmarked again.”

Anthony gushed: “Danny Just gets better week in week out. Looking like a major contender for the competition with every new dance…”

Sue said: “I love Danny, hope he gets to the final.”

Another viewer added: “A 9?! ‘Dynamic’ is the last word I’d use to describe that salsa. As much as I love Danny, the judges consistently over mark him.”

Judging panel, Brian Redmond, Loraine Barry, Arthur Gourounlian and Karen Byrne were back to give their hard-hitting opinions on the contestants’ dances.

Kayleigh gave it her all on the dance floor and was visibly teary-eyed after the song ended.

Host Jennifer Zamparelli noticed and said: “You seem a bit emotional. Are you okay?”

Kayleigh explained: “Oh, I’m definitely relieved.”

Jennifer asked: “How do you feel?”

Kayleigh replied: “I am buzzing.”

Speaking to the orchestra, she said: “Thank you guys so much. Amazing job. Gorgeous.”

And the judges were also blown away by the “quirky” dance.

Lorraine said: “I think you had us all guessing. Where is this going with this slow, glamorous, dramatic opening? But then it soon changed into this charismatic, fun-filled Charleston.

“But then again, I was on the edge of my seat. I was like, ‘There’s a lift coming. I know there’s a lift coming’. And you absolutely nailed it. Fabulous opening.”

Arthur remarked: “That was most definitely entertaining. And what a way to open orchestra night. I loved it.

“The Charleston character, the signature, it was cheeky, which I like. And full of character. You guys brought it tonight.”

Brian said that Kayleigh brought the “three things needed to make a great Charleston”, which was entertainment, technique and breathtaking lifts.

Brian There are three things we need to make a great Charleston. Arthur mentioned one of them already, entertainment.

‘GORGEOUS’

Karen added that she was “confused” at the beginning but once the Charleston kicked in, it was “absolutely brilliant”.

Karen “I’m obsessed with this whole look. The beginning when you’re in such a gorgeous ballroom frame, I was like, is she going to bang out a waltz? Are we looking at Charleston or what’s going on? So I was a bit confused.

Speaking to Doireann Garrihy in her den, Kayleigh spoke about why she was so relieved saying: “That was our first, well… we were struggling with a few of the lifts.

‘WOBBLY’

“I was wobbly and beforehand I was afraid that nerves might kick in, but you had a good chat with me and we settled a bit.

“My mum’s in the audience and I was looking at her. I really wanted a Charleston and people online all week are like, ‘The Charleston’s a bit of Kayleigh’.

“We niggled this week, but nothing a good rub down can’t solve… from the physio to be clear. It’s mind over matter with that too.

“If you let it get into your head, it’s nearly worse. So I was like, ‘I’m grand, I can go on, I’m grand’.”

And after the pair got glowing reviews from the judges, they received a total score of 32 points.

And RTE viewers at home also loved the performance as well and raced to social media with praise.

One fan commented: “Fab Charleston and perfect song for it.”

Anthony said: “Fan of the charming @ktrappe. Bringing sassy energetic elegance in spades to the @DWTSIRL dance floor. A serious contender for the competition with every new dance…”

Aaron remarked: “Fabulous.”

Another viewer added: “Fab Charleston and perfect song for it.”

The home team prevailed in the first leg – beating the current champions 1-0.

But, the game won’t be remembered for Kevin Guinco’s goal halfway through the second half.

With two minutes remaining, tempers flared in the tight contest.

A foul by the visitor’s player Mario Gonzalez led to a melee involving Enzo Echeveste, who charged towards his opponent.

Echeveste grabbed Gonzalez from behind by his neck as Paysandú Interior players surrounded him.

Unperturbed, Gonzalez swung a right hook towards Echeveste – connecting with his chin.

The punch knocked the player out – leaving him motionless on the pitch as the perpetrator walked off.

Unsurprisingly, Gonzalez was shown a red card for the act of violent conduct.

Last month, a similar incident happened on our shores when a frustrated coach hit out at a linesman.

Robert Williams-Jones was managing Amlwch Town FC when he grew frustrated at his team’s 8-0 scoreline.

Just 15 minutes into the match, the 43-year-old was filmed landing a blow on the linesman – leaving him sprawled on the ground.

Footage then showed spectators and staff rushing over to the dugout to help the official, whose age hasn’t been released.

Williams-Jones pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm but avoided a prison term.

The thug was instead handed a 24 week sentence suspended for 12 months at Caernarfon Magistrates’ Court.
